Dined here together with friends. Place was cozy and charming. Feels just a wee bit intimidating, personally, because it has this classy vibe. They play some ambient music to keep the atmosphere calm and cool.
Staff was accommodating and service was prompt. One even offered to take a pic of us after they served all of our ordered food. We had Nacho Bake (cheesy and meaty. Chili, tomatoes and onions were on the side in case you want to add some spice to the dip. Yes, it tasted great but we added tabasco sauce to the dip and it got better).
One of us ordered the Mexican pork ribs with nachos and rice. It's lightly sweeter for my taste but my friend was craving for that. It came with a sauce which has a slight kick of spice and that worked for me.
The other one ordered a Mexican beef tenderloin. I'd have that when I come back. Meat was tender and can be eaten on its own. It has a dipping sauce or gravy that tastes great too. But really, the beef was juicing with flavor. Just pour the sauce to your rice haha. (My friend requested for a medium rare but I guess she got a well-done beef) This also came with rice and oranges on the side.
I ordered a Latin seared salmon in Romasco sauce and came with mashed potato. No regrets. I've always loved Salmon, sushi or cooked. Can't say anything about the salmon. It was cooked thoroughly. Things just got better with the sauce and mango bits. It tasted summer in autumn. Fresh. Sweet. And juicy while I shivered in cold because of te ac lol. The mashed potato was simple but has become my favorite mashed potato. (Sorry Kenny's)
For drinks, we had four fruits iced tea. Sounds typical but it's far from that. Tell me if you can tell the four fruits they blended.
Total damage was over 2K. They have service charge on top of your bill.
They have a mezzanine, I think, for more tables and I guess for private events. There's a toilet on the first level. The one way mirror glass window and door highlights the view of the rotunda outside the resto.
P.S. we were so happy to dine here as the tables are not divided or with partitions. We got to chat without leaning forward to hear one another. Seats were not too far either. Just enough to give you space without being too close and cramped. And they implement the protocols...
Read moreI got dinner here with my mom since she hasn't tried steak for a long time and decided to get it here. The place is very well lit and well ventilated. Every corner is very clean and well designed, quite intimidating at first due to its classy and expensive vibe.
The staff were very professional and accommodating. They really knew what they would do. offers a cup of water upon sitting at the table and keeps it full once you are dining. They also update you on how long your food will be until it is done and make sure the customers are comfortable.
I ordered the El Chapo Steak (medium rare) and mom ordered the Mexican Beef Tenderloin (medium well done). Taste-wise, they are really good, and for their price, they are worth it. I'm not a steak eater, so I can't really describe and give an exact comment on how it tasted, but it's good compared to other steaks I've had around town. Overall, a nice experience and I would...
Read moreOverall timing was very bad.
Ordered a cocktail and it took halfway through the dinner meal to get the drinks. My wife and I both ordered drink cocktails and she received her’s about 35 minutes after we sat down and I received mine 50 minutes after we sat down (15 minute space between our drinks and we had to remind the server about the missing drink).
My wife got her entree about 15-20 mints after I received mine. Food should always be brought out together.
The steak itself needs to be seared before baking. Also, the steak was brought out borderline cold.
Random thing also, the fire alarm was also beeping the whole time and needed its batteries changed.
Atmosphere of the place and how the food looked were the only pluses. Everything else was very subpar for an...
