Front desk service: There is none outside the standard 8AM to 5PM office hours. You'll be lucky if somebody actually picks up the line. Having stayed here for quarantine purposes and not being allowed to step out of the room, this "no service" is a big no no. ||||Non-front desk staff: The bell hop is pro active in bringing up ordered food. I gambled with ordering food from the outside as I couldn't order food from the hotel simply because there was nobody picking up the line. Luckily, the bell hop would bring up the food ordered from the outside. I would've starved if they didn't bring the food up.||||Room: Everything is old. The bed was not comfortable. The fridge had to be changed as it was not working. The cable tv line up was really bad as well. The floor was dusty. Room slippers? They're old and crumbly. The moment I slipped my feet in them, they ripped. I just laughed it off as I was just tired getting upset anymore.||||Breakfast: Better order food from the outside. I was told that the food in this place is good. Fake news. ||||Will I consider going back to this place? If there is another quarantine hotel, I wouldn't stay in Hotel del...
Read moreStayed here over three days and two nights. The hotel is old (an "institution") and, in fact, when we first arrived there was a meeting between high-ranking local government officials at the same time.
The room itself was a pretty good size for the price and I generally have no complaints. Plenty of space for two people, there's a mini fridge, and a good-sized and clean restroom. There was one night that there was no water but maintenance staff were quick to fix it. The television was a smart tv. Airconditioning was pretty cold. There were three chairs! Good number of outlets but not plenty.
Breakfast buffet is good with a good spread of options. Highlights for me were the hot chocolate, crepes, and maruya. Garlic rice was also good.
I would consider the location the weak point of the hotel. It's in a central location so nothing is too far, but there was nothing of note that I would consider "walking distance". The esplanade is right behind the hotel, and there is access to it but there's nothing to see or do at the esplanade (unless you...
Read moreNice view and clean rooms. Nice bathroom by local standards with running hot water and functional shower. There's also a fridge and patio with a nice view. This hotel is only five minutes from the beach.
The beach near this hotel is perfect for snorkeling, collecting coral, shells and I even found a blue star fish.
The upstairs has three rooms, a closet and door leading outside to the patio. The bottom floor also has 3 beds, a cozy little kitchen with a refrigerator.
There's a table for eating a couple feet away from the front door. The bathroom has fully functional shower, sink and toilet. This combination of essential features is hard to find without any bugs in certain parts of the Philippines.
You could easily have 7 people rest in the home because at least one of the beds is king size. There's electric outlets for charging phones...
