Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price

The room was quite pricey, yet the experience didn’t match the cost. I booked a room for 4 people, but was surprised to find out I had to pay extra for 2 more guests, as the room was apparently only good for 2.

When we got to the room, there were only 2 towels, and no basic toiletries like soap or shampoo — surprising, considering the price and also, I paid for the extra 2 guests.

The bathroom smelled bad, likely due to the lack of an exhaust fan. There were no hooks to hang clothes, and the shower’s water pressure was extremely weak. We had to bathe using a bucket (timba) and dipper (kabo).

As for the amenities, mobile signal was very weak. The TV didn’t work. We had to go all the way to the front desk to get the Wi-Fi password, but even then, the Wi-Fi signal was barely usable.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The room we were given was tiny (about 12 square meters), had no windows, no running water, no toilet paper, and a broken shower — the shower head was damaged and sprayed water straight up at the ceiling, so it was basically unusable. The room was also boiling hot, and the air conditioner barely worked, making it hard to breathe or sleep. When we asked to change rooms, the staff lied and said the entire hotel was fully booked, but when we walked around, we could clearly see that many rooms were empty.
