We stayed at this place for almost two months — 7 weeks to be exact. The agreement was that we would pay each month at the beginning of the month and we are thankful to Wanay for granting a nice discount. She asked if we needed receipt, I said we didn’t. She was happy. ||We only stressed on one important thing before we moved in: CLEAN THE ROOM ONCE A WEEK, (including changing of pillows and sheets). That’s all we asked. ||To cut it short, in the 7 weeks that we were occupants, the room had been cleaned ONLY ONCE. ||I didn’t know if it was that my husband spoke English, or she was just saying yes to our request without understanding, she completely forgot, should I learn the dialect next time, or whatever the reason. ||My husband had actually mentioned, “I guess when they already have your money, they don’t really care about you anymore.” |And it takes so much for my husband to say something like that. ||Another thing, in some of the days that we were gone (Manila errands), there were interesting signs of ‘visits’, and they were NOT TO CLEAN THE ROOM but to do other stuff: ||1) A USED toilet brush was left beside the toilet in the comfort room that welcomed us with unbearable stench. When I checked, there was a strange brush leaning on the side of the toilet UNRINSED. It wasn’t there when we left. Somebody else had come in to do personal business on the toilet inside the room that we paid for during the time that we were gone. ||2) A faucet leak was mysteriously fixed, again discovered as soon as we were back from a trip... yet again, ROOM WAS NOT EVEN CLEANED. Regardless of the (unnecessary) spoken request. ||On our last days there, I could already smell mold from the pillows and sheets. Disgusting and sickening.|It’s been a week since we left. I had waited for days before writing this review, and felt that I should really do.||It was a letdown. They were nice, yes. But we honestly felt that we could’ve just spent the money, maybe with a little bit more, at a place with no intruders when we’re gone, and who can easily follow simple...
Read moreSpent the first day of 2017 on a road trip to the Mountain Province, no bookings made to any accommodation, we will look for a place to stay when we get there, dangerous, considering our travel dates and we have kids with us too. Found Indigenous Inn while driving around, We were able to get three rooms and we were charged per head. Beds were comfortable, queen size, with two pillows and blanket. Private toilet and bathrooms have water heater but the water pressure was weak. They have Cable TV and free Wifi internet. They don't provide towels, so bring your own, I always have my own toiletries when I travel so I do not bother to check the bathroom for soap and shampoo. Not sure if they serve food, but they have a Hot Water Station with mugs and teaspoon which I assume can be used by guest, so I went out to the nearby store and bought my on the go coffee staple Nescafe 3 in 1. All in all, we were very happy and satisfied with the Indigenous Inn, rooms are clean and there's a balcony where you have a view of the mountains. The lady who checked us in is very accommodating and friendly, unfortunately, I forgot to ask her name, so is the other lady I was speaking with when I was having my coffee in the shared dining area who advised me on the places where we can visit. Too bad that it was just an overnight stay. There's so much to do in Sagada, if you are up for an adventure, maybe next time. And please take note, that during this time of the year the temperature can lower than 13c at nighttime, so bundle up. Oh by the way.....Internet is slow, but like what I always tell everyone who travels with me, don't stay in and go online, go get out...
Read moreThis place is fine. It is probably a bit overpriced as for the same sort of money you can get nicer places in town. But, that said, the person in charge (who was very nice) just seemed to make up the price as they went along. At first she told us that the cost was for the room, then it was per person, then the price changed entirely, then it became so confusing that we didn’t much care and took the room anyway. It was clean and the room was huge with a nice balcony with views of the mountains behind. No breakfast is available here – not even a coffee as far as we could tell – but it doesn’t much matter as there are plenty of nice places nearby. Whilst the person in charge said they had WiFi and warned us that it was slow it wasn’t clear how slow until we actually tried to use it. Perhaps the slowest WiFi we’d experienced anywhere, ever. It is really the equivalent of not having WiFi at all. If you are on a budget and don’t much care either way you might as well stay here if you can’t find anywhere else. It is one of those places that just doesn’t have anything much to recommend it nor anything much bad about it. ...
