Great stay. Friendly staff. Place is not perfect. But they are very accommodating and will try to fulfill the needs of their guests. They have the old building and the new one. The new ones are definitely better. Old ones are pretty standard. Decent rooms for cheap accommodation. For CRs, they have one for each room. 1 toilet, 1 sink, then shower and gripo. Shower was a bit weak, but has heater. Tabo has better pressure, but was cold. They are also connected to Damayan Restobar which is one of the best value places to eat aound the area. They open at around 6 30. Coffee is around 35/40php. Silog is around 150-200php. While real meals are around 200-250php which is really a VERY VERY good price for Sagada. Overall, i can recommend for light and on a budget travelers. PS. Bring your own toiletries and stuff, otherwise, buy from a nearby shop.

This is a lodge spread across 3 floors. They offer budget accommodation with rooms good for up to 6 people. There's a fireplace on the third floor. The rooms don't have televisions but they have their own toilets outfitted with a water heater. Towels are available for 20 each. The beds are ok and are provided with a pillow and blanket. There's a convenience store downstairs. The owners live here too so they're easy to find if you need them for anything.

Pleasant stay though construction for their expansion is ongoing. The manager and her assistant are easy to deal with and accommodating. Room basics were there except for towel that costs P20 rental; ensuite has a hot shower; a/c is not needed since it's Sagada anyway; wifi available at the 1st floor; and the lack of tv inside the room doesn't really matter since you're there for the outdoor activities. Rooms though aren't sound proof - I can hear the tv whenever someone is watching outside, as well as the noise from my neighboring rooms. Location is approximately 700m away from the tourist center. You'll pass by several shops, and famous restos such as Yoghurt House (winner) and Salt and Pepper (fail) before reaching the lodge. Walk down further and you'll find Sagada Brew (didn't try it), Lemon Pie House (winner), and at night-a Wine Refilling Station/Kiosk of a local wine maker that sells a nice-tasting Blueberry Wine,...

We just needed a bed and hot shower - and they provided that. Don't expect AC, TV, cable, wifi, elevator, toiletries, hairdryer, etc.The rooms are not for staying in - get out and enjoy nature!||||After the day's adventure we were bone-tired and just needed to have a quick, warm shower and we were off to bed! We did not even miss the TV and the wifi because we badly needed to rest for the next day's activities.||||And you will not break the bank staying in this lodge - you'll have plenty left for food (which can be pricey at the more popular restos), souvenir shopping (lots of local crafts to choose from), and adventures!||||There is a small store at the ground floor and you can buy most of the supplies you need from here. Most restos and shops are walking distance from the Umatan - saving you on transport cost. The owners are very helpful - they will even cook for you if you request them, for a minimal fee.||||Great...

Best place to stay in Sagada. Kuya Rae (owner) is really nice and accommodating. If you want a place that is :||||1. Secured (Got CCTV and the room locks are good and new)||2. Clean (Seriously clean especially the t/b)||3. Afforadable (We got the 1 room for 3 pax with 2 beds and a private t/b w/ TV for 300PHP)||4.Rooms are built really great. (Thick walls dude, thick walls. My other friend who went to sagada 1 day ahead of us stayed in a different lodge and the walls were like made with just plywood.) Umatan has tiled floors, pvc windows and the beds were great too.||5. Hot and Cold shower that works.||6. Thick blankets||7. Free WIFI (pretty strong signal too)||8. Theres a general store located next to the lodge. Ate from the store is really nice too and they help get your tours too! ||||That's about everything! Thanks again, Umatan! We will definitely stay...
