I was a resturning customer so I recommended this place to my girl since were about to celebrate our anniv. We had a very long drive and arrived early at the hotel. Then upon checking-in at the receptionist named "Gab", she told me that they don't have my name om their system. I inquired for a reservation last July 9 and they confirmed it on July 11 via email after I transferred my dp. So I was disappointed when she said that the employee that booked my reservation was not with them anymore since she was AWOL?! We were really tired with no sleep and bodysore from the long drive so I was just waiting for her recommendation since the mistake was on their end. I was not thinking at the moment. She told me that she can get me a standard room with less rate than deluxe. I asked what's the diff with standard and deluxe and she said that the only difference is the free coffee and water for a ₱400 price difference. She even told me that the rooms were the same and the deluxe was only new ones. So I just basically agreed since I just really wanted to rest. I was beyond disappointed when I was escorted to the room bc I didn't expect it to be this bad compared to what we had on our first reservation here years ago. The room looks nasty and old. Cockroach coming in and out the ac, the ac socket was static, the room floor would moist, the flush of the toilet was also broken, even our main door and knob was broken you have to kick it to open. So disappointed and depressing to celebrate any occasion at the room. You won't feel relaxed at all. Later on, I learned that the Gab I talked with at the reception was the same Julian Gabrielle Sarmiento at...
Read moreWe stayed in Cottage 3. The room was very basic, just 3 single beds with a small table, TV and bathroom. No closets but they have a small bar with hangers to hang clothes for the night. Our room is near the restaurant and the musical setup. We can hear the acoustic band playing outside, it's a good thing that we liked the music so it's ok with us. I think we're in an old building made of wood, we can hear footsteps above our room.
Although we reserved a room for 3, the toiletries they gave us were only good for 2 so we have to ask them for the 3rd set.
The bathroom isn't the cleanest and I saw a small cockroach on the sink. Their water heater only worked one time.
They offered welcome drinks but we have to claim it within 30 minutes of checking in. Free wifi is also available for 1 day.
They have a faucet outside the other building to wash your feet. But when we asked if we could at least rinse in their shower stall, staff said we had to pay 50 pesos, even if we are guests already.
Parking is very limited and we had to park at the edge of the curve.
I find the restaurant food pricey. The good thing about that is it's near the restaurants along the highway and there are policemen stationed just outside the resort. It's a bit of a walk to El Union but at least Tagpuan is just across the street and we dined outside the resort for...
Read moreWe had a little problem checking. The room reserved for our group was good for 6 pax instead of only for 4. The staff was able to resolve it after a couple of minutes. I suggest to make a reservation prior to your trip especially during peak season. If you will be bringing a car, you should also mention it to the staff upon booking so that they can also reserve a parking space for you. We got the room for 4000 a night, breakfast not included. Aircon and water heater are working. Towels were also provided. The room was small and the TV had only two working channels. Wifi inside the room is poor to cannot be detected at all.
The location is excellent. Their restaurant faces the beach where you can watch people and surf. Right outside, it is beside 7-eleven, the line of tricycles, and many other bar and restaurants to choose from. It is around 10-min walk to Flotsam and Jetsam.
Food is actually good but since there are LOADS of other restos in the area, for me, Sebay's only score fair. I ordered Grand slam burger. Serving size and price is relatively decent. Service can definitely be improved but at least, the Ate there was all smiles despite the sweat, heat and demands of...
