Sticky sand when wet, beach isn't ideal for swimming but you can submerge yourself and pretend to be a boat. But it's mainly for surfing, and they're plenty of surfing vendors spread across the beach.
Beach like all beaches in Philippines have some trash problems but that's usually due to tide bringing in trash or some money not picking up their own trash. Didn't see any litter fine signs.
Life guards are available but that's usually to enforce beach open and close hours. You're on your own in the water. It does have signs warning about strong currents, highly recommend following the advise.
You can bring food and other stuff and just chill, plenty of vendors walking around offering snacks and drinks.
It does get backed at peak hours but early morning you have less foot traffic. Highly suggest getting noise cancelation headphones beach does get loud with chatter.
Insects, bring a repellent or sunscreen, you get swarmed by them, I had to apply sunscreen to get rid of them otherwise they were landing on me like I am naia airport.
