The hotel is new and some of the amenities like the restaurant, room TV and room refrigerator is currently under construction and being installed as of this writing - but boy o boy, the service here is top notch! The hotel also has a back up generator that ran for approximately 4 hours I think. The reason why I said service is top notch is because the staff is very attentive and very accommodating, room is absolutely clean and premium, and they even handed out free drinks after the La Union grid went out for 12 hours straight (They managed to power the property for a good 7 hours through their generator) - something that the hotel obviously has no control over, yet they did this small gesture for their hotel guests.
I also didn't expect breakfast to be available when I booked, but somehow they gave free breakfast vouchers upon check-in - which is a nice touch for their guests.
During my stay there was also an earthquake and they were really prompt in advising guests via SMS to refrain from going near the coastline.
Despite all those events, I really felt that my money paid for this hotel was well valued. Though once all amenities are installed I would expect prices to increase. Currently, its priced really well on the amenities available.
To the hotel, the only suggestion that I have is improvement on noise management - since you are in the side of the main road, rooms (especially near the front area) would greatly benefit from it. Other than that, I have no other complaints! This place is awesome and would definitely be my first choice when I go back...

The bed was super comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep after a day of exploring. I especially appreciated the thoughtful amenities, like the [mention a specific amenity you liked, e.g., strong Wi-Fi, well-appointed bathroom, or the balcony with a view].
What truly sets The Salt apart is its prime location. Being just a short walk from Urbiztondo Beach means you have easy access to all the surfing, dining, and nightlife La Union is famous for, yet the hotel itself offers a peaceful and serene escape.

Read moreWe stayed in the premium suite last August 21. The experience is delightful. We enjoyed our overnight stay. It was very spacious with two-bedroom, two shower room, living room area and own jacuzzi! Perfect for our barkada splurge day! The view is breathtaking with the beach side view! A perfect way to relax during the long weekend.
The top restaurants to try in La Union are walking distance probably 6mins walk until El Union Coffee and Port San Juan.
The swimming pool is open until 12mn. The water was not too cold so we were able to enjoy it until 9:30pm. There were also inflatables that you can play with.
Oh did I mention there is enough parking space in this hotel?
I highly recommend this to everyone who will visit San...
