Surfers Grill — Restaurant in La Union

A spacious unli grill located along San Juan-SFC boundary. Regular fee of 329/head for dinner. Staff are very accommodating and kind. They are generous with the tasty sauces too! Meat, seafood and viands are available in buffet style but they rarely replenish. All their exhaust are not working but good thing for their open area. There's also a live band to enjoy their music while grilling and eating. Giving them 2 stars only as it is indicated that their operation hours is until 11 PM but by 9PM, they already mentioned 'last call' for the buffet before they clear up. We dined here on my 41st birthday and I am very satisfied with the food. The meat and seafood is tender and fresh. The staff readily replenished the food. However, I have some concerns with the ventilation of the grill,it may need some maintenance. Live band is awesome only that it,s too loud. Gatherings around food are almost always catching up with family and friends chatting away. It might be nice if they can modulate the sound. After all customers go back for good food and not the loud music. A roving supervisor is a must to address the influx of customers and...

The food was just not good (1/10). It's unfortunate because the vibe and location was quite nice. True there was a lot of choices for meats and seafood but the cuts were so thick and some were frozen solid. The meats were so tough you could chew for hours. The only sides available during that time were corn and kimchi which tasted like ttaekbokki sauce. Even a side of lettuce would've been nice but they didn't have any. The rice was also undercooked.

Given that other guests say they came back twice, maybe this place just lacks consistency...
