This was my 4th trip to Boracay Island... I've stayed at the more expensive hotels, less expensive hotels as well as hotels priced in the median range. This is my first time booking an apartment on the island and I have to say, I honestly don't think I will book anywhere else on the island if I decide to come back in the future. ||I stayed at the gumamela suite with 5 of my relatives. Upon walking into the suite with the management, she showed us around and made sure we didn't have any questions. She also asked if we'd be interested in island hopping and let us know that it can be dangerous to schedule with someone random on the beach. She would happily introduce us to someone that we can trust and help us book a tour.||The apartment is stylishly designed and furnished in what i'd consider a minimalistic fashion. The apartment was complete with full-size refrigerator and freezer along with kitchen if you want to cook your own food! Although it isn't on the beach, it was more than close enough (100yd). It's located at station 3, which I like to call the "quiet-side" of white beach. Not too much going on in this part of the island in-terms of "partying" but that's not what I was looking to do, I just wanted a relaxing stay with a few planned activities.||I will likely recommend this place to any and all that decide to...
Read moreI stayed a week at the Boracay Suites and was really impressed with the hotel. The place is about a year old and is kept up very well. The facilities are nice. The rooms spacious. Housekeeping did a good job every day keeping my room clean. The turn down service is a nice touch as well!||The service here is top shelf! The staff learns your name and is so friendly! Smiles all around! No request big or small was a problem. I had a very early departure from the hotel and they had as requested some yogurt, toast and fruit ready for me at 415am! Very nice of them to do so! ||The pool/bar staff is fantastic! They kept us in good food and drinks every day. Smiles and laughs were plenty once again. ||The only small drawbacks were these: |The free internet was nice but a chore to sign into all the time. I was told this was being resolved. |The pool is in the shade much of the day and is a bit cold and limited loungers. There are tables and chairs though. |Their beach area could use some more loungers as well. Better to use their sisters property beach loungers as it's a bigger area. ||All in all I loved my time and Boracay Suites and will return. The issues I mentioned were small and not deal breakers. A very good place to stay in my opinion. The price...
Read moreNew(ish) building and well built and designed. Stayed at Puka Suite for a week with 3 adults and infant which was no problem. Having the security guard outside the front door added some comfort. Daily clean towels for beach and bathroom.||It really is 100meters from beach only. Some people say 10 minutes so we were not sure what to expect. So it really is close, maybe 2 minutes at most to hit the beach. However you are on the quiet end. So “the beach” that some refer to as 10 minutes away is perhaps the busy area around Dmall.||We found the quiet end the best part. The busy part in March is so busy it is almost elbowing your way through and kids cannot play in sand as there are too many people walking around.||Only negative part is the lane from Main Street to apartment at night has some unlit parts. Bike taxi drivers urinate on side inthese dark areas, so it smells but also you can get surprised by someone you didn’t see. My wife refused to walk it at night, so we took bike taxis to and from only at night or walked...
