Was pretty surprised myself making this review early on in my trip. I’m not even halfway on my vacation, but I am having a grand time and I’m pretty sure the remaining days will be awesome.||This is my nth time on the island and have been staying at Sur with friends and family since 2010. ||Station 1- which used to be tranquil and quiet has become a bit too crowded for an aging bachelor in his 30s… and the increasing rates of the hotels and resorts in the area is a bit of a factor to consider as well. ||Saw the reviews of 357 Boracay and decided to book for myself after almost 3 years of Boracay Travel hiatus due to the Pandemic. ||With only 10 Rooms in their inventory, this prime Beachfront property in the surprisingly peaceful and uncrowded area of White Beach Station 3 is a true gem.||The view from the restaurant is priceless. Their 2 Suites on the 2nd floor face the same direction.||Their restaurant serves limited menu, but so far, the ribs, porkchop and fried chicken I have ordered were all well-cooked, well-priced and well-portioned. Breakfast was pretty basic but decent. I wish brewed coffee is served rather than a 3-in-1 coffee sachet, but there are cafes nearby to get your much-needed coffee fix.||I stayed at the Executive Double Room and for the price of about PHP2500 or roughly USD 50a night, I have nothing to complain about except for the lack of a Safety Box for valuables and a coffee/tea facility. Split type AC easily cools down the room even during a hot afternoon, there’s a writing table, a sitting area/daybed… and a very decent bathroom with no to less downtime for hot water. Water pressure is impressive, although there’s a tendency to flood the shower area which overflows to the adjacent drain below the sink and toilet area. Complimentary toiletries can be improved and dental kit may be added. Nevertheless, I always travel with my own set. Did I mention that the rooms have white linens and fluffy, clean smelling towels too!? Great to see room accents from Narda’s handwoven fabrics like their rugs and bed runner. ||Service is genuine and feels very homey. The feeling of visiting your favorite Tita/Aunt in her home. Ms Debbie makes this place really special. If 357 is a gem, this lady is the gem of 357. ||Overall, its great location, decent accommodation, good food and heartfelt service makes 357 Boracay my new go-to place in Boracay Island. Value for your money...

If you want peace and quiet pick a hotel resort at station 3. Noisiest is station 2 of course. Downside is it's so far away from most of the eating places and shops and it's really far from station 3 where the sand is the finest and the waves are the gentlest. 357 is well built. You'll see it from the construction and the design. The doors are made of solid wood and not the PVC type used in some resorts. Even the CR/WC doors are solid wood and you'll see the expertise of the construction as the doors do not creak. The water supply is wonderful compared to the other resorts in that area. The dining area is right in front of the beach. Downside is the place could be old although it doesn't show that because the original room we had the Aircon broke down. The second room we had the TV was malfunctioning. Internet was okay at the dining area and the 2nd floor rooms but choppy at the first floor rooms. The lady owner who owns and manages the place is always present and is sure to greet you whenever she sees you. There is a shower and wash area outside to wash away the sand from your body and feet. Checking in and out was a breeze except that the reception office is somewhere in the middle and not the same as the desk you see at the dining when you reach the place. Hot choco was available for breakfast. Breakfast was fair with only 3 things to choose from: continental, omelette, and oatmeal. It was probably meant for foreign nationals as a lot of Germans and French were staying there. Of course I was not happy with the...

So I'm currently here at the hotel. THE GOOD: 1. Beach front 2. Rooms are spacious. 3. Quiet beach compared to the others. THE BAD: 1. The building directly next door is an apartment complex and has the local unemployed losers living there, they drink, shout and smoke everyday, the noise from them is loud and disturbing, from 7am until 11pm. (See photo from the room window) I asked to move rooms but was denied. Hotel management didn't care. 2. Breakfast extremely poor, they say, pay more if you want better...pathetic! 3. No fridge in the room for drinks 4. No sunbeds for the beach 5. Very small shower hot water unit (runs out quickly) 6. No daily fresh water bottles 7. No safety deposit box 8. No view from the room, no privacy from the window, the hotel is just crammed in next to the local complex next door. If you open the blind, everyone can see in. There's an alleyway next to the rooms, so be prepared for being disturbed. 9. Our room didn't get made up for 2 days and when we asked why? Answer = 'You need to hang the sign on the door'.....oh yeah thanks for telling us! 10. Mould in the bathrooms A very very basic ordinary hotel. There's no love here.....stay elsewhere! I 100% would not recommend staying here!

The hotel was clean and comfortable. My mum and aunt had a noisy pump in their room so asked to move but the staff were very accommodating. Breakfast was good and filling. Only some options were included so we had to pay the difference for others, but it was not much so was not a problem. Location was good. It was about a 10 minute walk to station 2 which got hot in the middle of the day to do, but as it is further away it was much quieter so preferable, personally. Therefore the section of the beach which the hotel overlooks is quieter than station 2 as well. The reason I am not giving a higher rating is due to the tour we organised through them. We booked a island hopping tour (Shingley Tours) through the hotel for 1000 pesos, (although we later found out it's cheaper to do a walk in). The tour was disappointing and cut shorter than promised by the flyer in the hotel by 2 hours, and when we returned and let the staff know, they were sympathetic and said they would follow up. However they did not do anything and we felt extremely disappointed and ripped off. I recommend the hotel, although STEER CLEAR OF SHINGLEY TOURS.
