My search filters were prioritized according to location (beachfront), reasonable budget (4d3n for two), and quality of service (based on recent reviews). Rose Pike delivered on all three of these criteria. The view from their resto-beach-bar was superb (the kind you'd see on a screensaver), the accommodation was within budget (I booked a month in advance and got a 25% discount; the total was under P6k), and the quality of service was above average. ||||The room we were given was big--probably around 25 to 30 sqm. It could've used more furniture for a cozier feel, but that's not really important. They had all the essentials: Hot shower, clean toilet, clean sink, mirror, closet, electronic safe, air conditioning, TV (although most channels were static), study table, bed, bedlamps, mini-fridge, and curtains (we kept them closed since the view was only that of an adjacent resort's wall). There's a small balcony at the end of the hallway outside the rooms. ||||They had a resto-beach-bar called "Koyster Borakay", whose tables extend to the beach under coconut trees. Prices were extravagant, and the free breakfast was mediocre, but that's to be expected at this price bracket. If you want the good stuff, be prepared to shell out about P250 to P500 for a decent meal. Your best bet at value-for-money is a sandwich. They cost less than what you would pay for at a Subway, and aren't half-bad in my opinion. For other options, you can always try the other restobars nextdoor (there's a neighbouring "Hey Jude!" that serves the best mango cookie crumble I've ever tasted). Btw, Koyster Borakay doesn't have service water, you have to buy them bottled.||||If you're on a tight budget, a 20-minute walk away from the beach will lead you into town where you can buy things at the same prices locals do (this is definitely much cheaper). There's also a wet market less than 5 minutes away from the main road. ||||The staff at Rose Pike are very friendly and accommodating, which more than made up for any qualms I may have had about broken towel rods or lack of dental hygiene kits. All in all, if I could still get it at the same price, I would...
Read moreGreat location. Located in Station 3, where relaxation and appreciation with the beautiful Boracay Island can truly be attained. We were welcomed with a refreshing orange juice upon check-in which was a good start for a great planned vacation. ||However, upon checking in to our room, we were completely disappointed with the Room as it is not completely cleaned (after someone’s check-out.) Hair falls are everywhere, in the comfort room and shower area, and even in the BEDS & PILLOWS!!!!! Major Sanitary Turn-off. Hopefully the management would do a major check on this, who wants to sleep in a room with strangers' hair everywhere?! Clearly, No One! ||Some staffs are very kind and helpful too, but some are not. During breakfast the next day, we waited for a couple of minutes and had to get ourselves the Breakfast Menu as no one seems to care to assist us even when they clearly saw us, seating and waiting for it. Good thing, the foods taste great and was commendable. ||Location is highly recommended (for those who want to enjoy the peace and serenity of the island life) however, the rooms clearly needed some upgrade to be a better place for accommodation and give better guest experience and...
Read moreWe stayed at their condo villa which is at the back on the second floor.||The room was ok. It's a condo style, there are 2 rooms, one with 2 double bed and the other one with one double bed, a shared common area and kitchen. It's big enough for a group of 8. Also, free breakfast. ||The rooms were ok, each room has their own TV and their own bathrooms and a bidet! The kitchen was complete with plates and glasses but there's limited utensils and pots and pans for cooking. For a place that is for a big group, the pots are too small. But the staff are nice and we were able to borrow from them. Wifi is not too strong and also, the entrance to this room is not clean, right before you climb the stairs. There were bottles of beers and there were insects, mosquitoes. Hopefully, they'll clean this up. ||But all in all, the place was ok. We slept comfortably, rooms were cool. Hot and cold shower. It's also a beachfront so we were able. To hang out in front with some drinks. (lounge chairs are limited to 4chairs only). Also, this place is far from the happenings. So, if you're looking for a quiet place to just relax and chill, then this is the...
