Mabuhay Beach House — Hotel in Malay

I stayed with three other friends in the Mabuhay House in September 2025. It was a mixed experience. 3.5 stars if I could.

Pros: Large house, two stories, beachfront, four bedrooms with their own bathrooms (two bedrooms quite large). Towels and beach towels provided Restaurants close by Air conditioning worked well

Cons: The staff was interesting. There is a manager on site/near who seemed a little bit edgy. The staff is somehow affiliated with a "tour guide" who was underwhelming. The door/latches are old. One key broke so we paid for a replacement lock (instead of the key...) and had issues with other locks/doors. Warm water was not hot and short lasting. Amenities were non existent. Station 3 is more peaceful but further from nightlife Overall, felt Boracay has past its best days (not a criticism of this house, but a general finding)

I would not stay here again but I think for large groups that are prepared for a few hiccups with the service people/lack of amenities in exchange for a large house....it could be...

They don't even deserve the 1 star. The team doesn't take accountability and responsibility for their mistake. Book at your own risk!!! The place where I have my accommodation booking Mabuhay Beach House in Boracay, Philippines has sent a message through the site Agoda and stated that due to a glitch in the system the price provided to me when I booked is incorrect. This is unacceptable. I reconfirmed days after booking and it was all validated. I trust that when fees have been taken out from my card and has been confirmed, I shouldn't be receiving an email stating that there was an error 2 months after. Can you believe it took them 2 months?! There goes their communication and attentiveness rating. Would they respond right away to your needs if you are a guest?? Ausome place. Its was 2009 the last time i visited this great vacation spot. Nice location . Nice managment and wonderful rooms . I will go back and would recommend to anyone who wants to relax, the beach is perfect and quiet. And its a short walk to many great eating places...
