I stayed at RedDoorz @ The Providence Tower last March 20-21, 2025 for a conference in a nearby school, and overall, my experience was quite decent considering the price and location.||||The hotel’s biggest advantage is definitely its location. It’s very close to DLSU, CSB, and St. Scholastica making it a convenient location to attend conferences in the area. There are convenience stores, cafes, and several food spots nearby, which made getting meals and essentials easy. ||||The room was basic but functional. It had the essentials like a comfortable bed, working air-conditioning, and a clean private bathroom. Wi-Fi was decent enough for emails and streaming. ||||Cleanliness was acceptable. Towels and linens were provided and appeared fresh. The bathroom was clean, though some fixtures showed signs of age. Housekeeping was available upon request, which was good for a short stay.||||Staff were polite and helpful. Check-in and check-out were smooth. They answered basic questions and were accommodating when I asked for assistance with directions and recommendations. The downside part of my stay is the elevator where the indicator light for a particular level or floor does not function. The thing is you have to wait for the elevator door to open and check on the number of the floor or level you are going.||||For the price I paid, the stay was worth it. It’s a budget accommodation, so don’t expect luxury, but if you're looking for an affordable place to stay in the Taft area, especially close to the universities, it’s a good choice.||||I would recommend this for short stays, student visits, or budget-conscious travelers who...
Read moreThe Providence Tower by RedDoorz. I used to rent a unit from this building back in 2006-2008 because it's right across my workplace. During the pandemic, however, it seems RedDoorz picked up its first few floors and converted the units into budget hotel rooms. Since I only need to physically go to work twice or thrice a month now, it became more economical to just book a room the night before I need to go to work. (Cheaper for gas consumption, too, since I could check-in during off-peak hours.)
Anyway, for a BUDGET HOTEL (take note not to expect 5-STAR hotel service from a budget hotel, OK?), it's pretty decent. Good location, there are several shops beside it, including convenience stores. The room smelled like it had just been disinfected when I came in. Toiletry holder contained shampoo/body wash, toothpaste, and two toothbrushes. There were also two bottles of mineral water. Unit has a fridge, a microwave, some plates and utensils (reminder to self: bring dishwashing liquid next time). No electric kettle, but I brought my portable electric tumbler, so no biggie. Internet was decent enough that I could play my gacha game with it. The bidet, though. It feels like you could use it to disperse rallies, it's so powerful. 😅 Shower heater was problematic (or I didn't know how to make it work). But overall, am pretty happy with it, considering the price. It's cheaper than using Grab, as the cost to Grab back and forth is more expensive than the room. You might encounter some unwanted insects, but those are easy to take care of if you're like me who carries disinfectant all the time. (Edited from my...
