Harley's Pub — Hotel in Olongapo

Staff are attentive and very friendly. Ambiance feels quiet but lively during afternoon till night time. There's a feeling that that it doesn't have any rooms looking at the front side so you'll think you made a mistake of the location because of the prominent pub/bar front. Just don't hesitate to ask to any staff if you doubted Google maps or Waze pointing you there. There's no ample parking at the hotel but there is an allocated parking shared by the front resort. Our room is a standard room (Room S) with a double bed just enough for 2 large person or 3 medium person. It has T/B with portable water heater, 32" LED TV w/ cable channels and A/C. The main door needs improvement as it has slight gap where someone can peep from outside at the lower part. All foods on the menu are available anytime of the day without restriction. We've ordered a supposedly drinking snack during breakfast and it was served. Food also has no limitations that you may customized your meal if the combinations you like was not specified on the menu. Price is not that very affordable but quite reasonable considering that meals are served in short time and delicious. I recommend the Mixed grill and thai fried rice as a complete satisfying meal. The Red T Cider was also a treat! You can still go to nearby restaurants or other places to eat if you desire. Beach part is not that surprising, but the calm water made the waters clear which my daughter enjoyed. The are some small plastic trash floats on some parts but you can move to the rocky part (beach side of the resort beside) where the water has more pleasant view added by the presence of some small fishes (puffer fish and angel fish). A good place to stay if you are in a budget only 1,700 php per room (2pax) a night in rooms located in the front or beach side and 1,200 for the rooms at the back. The rooms has AC & fans which is cool. The place is old and needs some serious refurbishment. The shower in the room that we stayed was damage the button was loose so we had to keep on pushing it while taking a shower. On the 3rd day i couldn't held back and complained to the staff and we were transferred to the room in the front. The rooms smells musty which is the same smell when we first entered the first room so i guess they need to work on their ventilation system. The best thing with the place is the bar & restaurant is open 24hours. There was 1 female wait staff though that needs to wear her customer service vest all the time to everyone - as she throw the menu to the 11 year old kid, the place was not full so there was no need for her to be in a hurry. When confronted she even reason out and it took her a moment to say sorry unsincerely bu saying "ay sorry pala", plus we found a tiny insect in the fried chicken that the kid oredered so check your food before devouring. Harleys just down the quiet baloy beach rd this place is pretty nice with little things to detail that make a stay pleasant. I walked in and was offered the choice of 2 rooms non sesview 1200 peso, and sesview 1700 peso with a lovely terrace for super views of subic bay, Rooms are smallish and basic but well laid out and decourated, comfortable and clean, Harleys is an open style bar/resturant and hotel. Staff were freindly, fridge, hot shower,, aircon, wifi didn't work in the room but worked well in the bar/resturant which is open 24 hours. no noise problems in the room from the bar/resturant, location is fine walking distance to bars and restaurants but allways trikes outside if needed, room had a safe, tv was old style but had many channels, bar/restaurant had numerous tv's for sports from around the world, resturant has a pool table and also a terrace area overlooking the beach and ocean,|The southern cross bus drops off passengers from Angeles here, and very nearby departs for Angeles and manila at 11am each day.
