I had such a great time staying at this hotel during my holiday! Honestly, I was a little worried at first because I’d read some reviews about unkind staff, room issues, and the bumpy road leading to the place. But for me, everything was awesome, and the staff were all super friendly and kind.
One moment that really stood out was on my last day. I realized I was 5 pesos short for the tricycle fare to the airport, the driver wanted 300 pesos, and I only had 295 left. When I told the staff, they just gave me 5 pesos to help out. I think the staff member’s name was “Uemer” (sorry if I got it wrong!), and he was so kind. A huge thank you to him and everyone else at the hotel.
Another thing that happened was I found a lizard in my bathroom late at night. The reception was closed, so I wasn’t sure what to do, but fortunately one of the hotel staff helped me out. He caught the lizard, and released it outside. I was so grateful, it was such a relief!
The location is about 8–10 minutes from Alona Beach, and yeah, the road to get there is pretty bad and bumpy. At first, I wasn’t sure if I’d recommend the hotel because of that, but after staying there for 4 nights, I can honestly say I would. It’s way cheaper than Henann Resort (the one a lot of Koreans seem to love), and the rooms are in great condition. Plus, it’s super quiet, so it’s perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway. Oh, and the pool gets cleaned every day. I actually saw them doing it, which was nice.
There was one small issue, though. On the third day, I hung up the “Please Clean the Room” sign before I went out, but when I got back, the room hadn’t been cleaned. I think it’s probably because I put the sign up a bit late (around 1 or 2 PM), so next time, I’d make sure to hang it up earlier in the day.
Overall, I really loved this hotel. It’s beautiful, cozy, and gave me so many great memories. I really hope the road leading to Marina Point Bay Resort gets fixed someday because that would make it even better. Thanks again to the staff for everything!
and just a heads-up, the hotel doesn’t offer a pick-up or drop-off service, so you’ll need to keep taking tricycles...
Read moreFeb.1st, 5:30 pm around check in. The lady in the reception desk is only focusing on checking my kid’s age and requested 2300 Peso for two nights extra bed for a kid at age of 8. Her focus is only on whether I will pay for it or not. Not focus on how to smile, be friendly and give an introduction on facility, restaurant, and a welcome smile. I am fine to pay since when I book it, I book a room for two adults not for my kid age 8. However, I really don’t feel comfortable about the attitude from this lady who looks like a senior staff but actually has no idea of how to place as a priority to customers. What I feel good, The man staff in reception on Feb. 2 Morning duty, he is friendly with a smile and try to help and answer my questions related to service in a professional way. The waiter in the restaurant, he is super busy but still friendly. The towel and bedding: clean. The price for transportation: transparent and no hidden add on like BBC. What I don’t like: The lady I talked to on Feb. 1st in the reception who lack of the spirit of working in a service industry. Food: less choice due to less customers The extra bedding one night: 1150 Peso for a kid under age 11. I have been in several resorts in Panglao now and before such as BBC, South Palm, North Zen, Amrita etc. normally, two adults stay, they allow one kid under age 10 for free if no extra...
Read moreThis place could quite easily be a 5/5, if not for the following: Food and beverages are bad or not in stock. We tried some snacks despite being warned by other guests not to bother with the food; it was bad. They couldn’t make any juices and only had sprite for soft-drinks. Also, it was expensive and took close to an hour to bring to the pool. Hotel reception helped arrange a private island hop/snorkel tour; it’s something they offer, and other guests recommended it highly. We got up at 4.30 AM to check out early, and drove to the meetup point for 5.30 because the reception insisted we couldn’t do it later. After waiting for 30 minutes and trying to call the reception to help find the tour guides, we gave up and joined a group tour (which was pretty bad; don’t do that). Later the hotel reception said the tour guys had waited for us at 6.30 AM; not 5.30 as the hotel told us. No apology or anything for wasting our time and making us get up early. the road to and from the hotel is horrible; almost not driveable on a bike. Apart from these pretty big setbacks; great hotel! Clean, big and nice rooms, and very nice outdoor area. Sadly the general impression is not good....
