Let's put in the good things first : their common areas and beach are quite good to hang out at. ||||The food was okay. Internet/wifi is bad. Rooms are quite ordinary, not something you'd expect at a place that claims to be a resort.||||I had booked a Superior room here for 2 days via Traveloka. I was living in Cebu and had come to Panglao to relax or maybe read a book at a beachside resort. However, they overbooked.||||For the first day, I reached at 8:30 in the night. That is when I find out they can't accomodate me because they overbooked. They said that the Superior room was booked out. I asked them if they could upgrade my room instead, the answer to which was no. They kept encouraging me to pay almost double the original price for the Seaside room. After a lot of talk b/w me, traveloka and the resort, they provided me with accomodation for the night in a Superior room (which was what I had booked). It turns out that they did have the room I had booked available but were still saying that they were overbooked, all the while encouraging me to get the costlier Seaside room. I also had to check out earlier at 10 in the morning instead of the usual 12.||||Do note that my options at 9 in the night were quite limited because a) It was the Chinese New Year holidays, almost all places were fully booked. b) I had no means of transportation or decent internet to figure out where to go.||||I could not find a beachside place to stay at for the next day since everywhere was booked because of CNY. I had to go back to Cebu. What bothered me the most was that they did have available rooms (the Seaside one) but weren't willing to provide those to me to cover for their mistake. ||||As a side note, the seaside room is not really seaside. It just faces the sea. It is never going to be worth it. If you go this place, you go for the private beach or the common area, not for the room. Both the seaside and superior room are not worth the price. The money that you are paying is for the private beach and common area, which are...

After our beach trip, I went in to enquire about whether it was a bar / restaurant, the owner just screamed "get out" over and over - extremely hostile given a normal interacaction given the name and proximity to beach.
Put signs up if you don't want people to enter and enquire. And don't call yourself a...
