Title: Good for the price
Kind and smiling staff Very good price Location is good near the Sanctuary and San Juan City Restaurants, Cafes sari sari stores, massages nearby Free kwartos gym but very simple and no aircon The rooms are not small I had a problem because of my room and they helped me to fix and change the room Water still worked even we had no power
No own power generator, it was sometimes a really big problem I had my first room inside the gym, the door had a big gap and was only taped and even if the gym was closed children and adults made noise after 11pm and 5 am at the gym because there was shower,cr etc.. Also someone smoked outside near to my aircon so that the smell comes inside my room. But the hotel responsible was very understanding and gave me quickly a room at the hill building after my request. Yeah there was a little ants problem even if I dont ate food in the room. The aircons wasn't very good, the humidity didn't go and cooling was less Less good possibilities to dry clothes
o The rooms are in different buildings. On the hill side is the main kwartos building and in front of the street the second building and they are still building. Also on the main street nearby coco groove is a building where a massage area and the gym is, also there are rooms for staying at example inside the gym.
Explanation of my votings

To understand... Why do I give 5 stars so rarely? Out of over 365 reviews, I realised that there are no businesses that are 100% perfect. I rate businesses in relation to an area, such as a city and the surrounding area. Most businesses in an area sell similar products of different qualities, and I rate these products up to a maximum of 4 stars. Therefore, I decided to give 5 stars if a business in this region has a unique selling point. This could be a unique product, an awesome view, or cosy surroundings that set them apart from other businesses in the area. Even if their products are not perfect, I can still give a five-star rating if there is something spec...

As a last-minute booking to find a place to stay for the 1st Governor Jigging Tournament in Siquijor, the team decided, and I booked it based on the information given.
Bunk Bed in Dormitory Room which is what they place on Bookingcom. It states in the advertisement, 1 room for four people. This is not true! It is one large room with twelve custom stacked beds, single and doubles.
The beds had cabinets to store things but did not have a lock. You had to bring your own or hope that the other people using the room did not go through your stuff because some cabinet lock handles were broken.
It has a shared bathroom with a separate shower room, toilet, and two sinks. There was a hot water tank, but the water was not hot or warm for the shower. Also, the shower and sinks drain needed cleaning. They always flooded the floor.
The room has a large A/C which they keep at 26 Celsius, which is very cold. I changed it to 28 Celsius after all the other guests booked out.
Here is the kicker, they have a dehumidifier running with the A/C on. What does this mean; the room has mold! Yes, it has the smell of mold when you enter the room.
It has a kitchen with gas burners, plates, pots, pans, and silverware. No refrigerator! So either you eat it all or find a way to store it. There are other places within walking distance you can go to buy food and numerous sari-sari stores. But you will need transportation to them.
The guest house is 9.7km, 16 minutes from Siquijor, and 21km, 34 minutes drive to Larena. Transportation to and from was P700 to Siquijor and P1000 to/from Larena by jeep. They do rent motorbikes at P300 per day. Tripe cost P350 to/from. This information is not given until you get there.
I know the beach was not far, but based on the changes in the tournament, none of the group had the time to visit the shoreline.
In closing, there are other Guest Houses throughout the island; if you plan to book one, ensure it has all the amenities you want...
Read moreThere was a rat in the room, after the first night they said it was gone, then it came back on the bed!! The rat went all over the bed and clothes and the rude owner would not refund, and said over the phone I was “overreacting” and then to my partner that we “should accept it” and we were being “unfair” to them, also accused us of making it up, we showed them the videos and a staff member even came in the room to try and kill it with cockroach spray?? Which then just did not get the rat and stunk the room out, with the label saying the room needed vacating 30 minutes after spraying. The owner said we “still used the facilities” so we cannot have a refund but there were 3 power cuts in the first day, so no AC, no WiFi or power. It is a shame because the room and bathroom were nice and the ladies who work there were trying to help us, but the owners were not reasonable and expect their guests to “expect” rats. For a family room, would you expect rats on your kids bed? Finally, she said over text “Your bed is so messy, no wonder it attracts rats”, as there was a few piles of clean clothes on the bed. The owner then proceeded to charge us a cancellation fee of £50 and said we never showed up to Agoda because...
