Hotel Estrella — Hotel in Tacloban

Ok, stayed here just for the night with breakfast as all hotels were fully booked. Staff at the check in counter were nice and accomodating. Room is ok, though a bit small but still it’s ok. Now here’s the not so good part, breakfast buffet has small selection but still acceptable. The staff in the breakfast area though, lacks attention, lacks quality service. As I entered the premises, I immediately went to the coubter to confirm my room number. The staff already saw me but didn’t even try, I had to assert myself unlike in other hotels. There were a couple of empty tables but still with used dishes, come on, there are people coming in, do you expect the guests to clean up the table themselves? Again had to ask politely for them to clean the tables. The worst part, before I sat on my own table, I kindly asked one of the waiters where to get the water as there was only coffee and juice on the service table, I was prepared to get it myself. He told me that it will just be served. Omg I waited for half an hour almost, til I just went back to my room, I didn’t even get a sip of water. Goodness and I had to take my medicines at that time. One of the most accommodating hotel I've ever stayed in - from the security, wait staff, tech guys, up to the senior executives. In addition. their staffs are well-trained. Our company held a two-day function in this hotel and we felt really satisfied with the service they showed us. ||||Communication was a breeze as all of our queries were answered promptly, special thanks to Windy from the Admin staff who facilitated all of our questions and requests. Considering our event needed to be finalized on such short notice, we were able to finalize arrangements in less than a week.||||The dining/ restaurant team, led by Rose, provided exceptional service. Food was served on time and was delicious. They really have a way of making you feel as if you're valued - from their signature greeting of "Greetings from the heart" to the warm smiles that every employee of the hotel gave us. ||||The Hotel is also strategically located in Downtown, Tacloban - 15 minutes away from the airport and relatively near to establishments. Disappointing Experience at Hotel estrella tacloban

I recently stayed at estrella hotel with my family, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. Upon check-in, we requested to see the room before finalizing, which seemed like a reasonable ask. We opted for a premium room and informed the front desk that my family could stay in the room while I handled the payment. However, the staff insisted that everyone needed to be present for payment processing, which felt unnecessary given our arrangement.

The room itself had visible yellow stains on both beds, which was quite unappealing. During our stay, the service was also lacking. When we came down to the lobby in the morning, no one greeted us or offered assistance, despite us carrying heavy bags. To make matters worse, when we went to check out, the staff prioritized other guests who arrived after us, which was frustrating.

Overall, we left feeling disappointed with the service and cleanliness. Perhaps with some improvements, future guests can have a better experience.
