Our company recently hosted a two-day business planning event here, with a group of over 40 attendees. While we appreciated aspects of our stay, we encountered several areas that could be improved.||CHECK IN and ACCOMMODATIONS:|Despite booking well in advance, we experienced a significant delay in room availability upon arrival. This required us to commence our event before our rooms were prepared, causing inconvenience for our participants.||While the rooms met our general expectations, we noted that:|| a. It would have been beneficial for our group to be assigned rooms on the same floor for better coordination.|| b. Several attendees reported issues with malfunctioning shower heaters.|| c. A significant inconvenience was the provision of only one key card per room. This posed a challenge for colleagues sharing rooms, particularly when individuals wished to explore the area independently.||DINING and CATERING:|The buffet service during our event presented several challenges:|| a. The placement of the soup at the beginning of the buffet line was unusual and potentially contributed to congestion.|| b. Refills for the chafing dishes were frequently delayed, resulting in extended wait times. Given our pre-confirmed headcount, we expected more efficient restocking.|| c. The inclusion of rice crust in the served rice was unexpected.|| d. The serving of a chicken dish with a spoon, rather than tongs, made it difficult for a buffet attendant to serve efficiently.||While beverage service was adequate, we observed that:|| a. Trash bins, particularly those containing creamer and sugar sachets, were not emptied promptly.|| b. Spilled sugar attracted ants, and tables were not cleaned to address this issue.||REST ROOM FACILITIES:|One of the restrooms adjacent to the function room had notable design flaws. One restroom, in particular, featured an unconventional layout, best described as a scalene trapezoid. This resulted in an awkward configuration of the toilet cubicles, with toilets not aligned squarely against the walls.||OVERALL:|While we acknowledge the efforts of the hotel staff, we believe that addressing the issues outlined above would significantly improve the guest experience, particularly for large group events. Read moreWe had such a wonderful stay at One Tagaytay Place, and I can’t thank their amazing staff enough for making our experience so memorable!||First off, the internet was super fast, which was such a pleasant surprise – perfect for staying connected (or binge-watching, let’s be honest). The check-in process was a breeze too – super quick, and the team greeted us with big smiles, which instantly made us feel welcome. Good food at their restaurant too!||Now, about the mix-up: It happened during the booking process, honestly, I was a bit anxious at first, but shoutout to Liezel (the front office manager) and Drey at the front desk, who handled it so well. They owned up to the mistake, which I really appreciated, and went above and beyond to ensure we still got the two-bedroom suite we originally booked. We were celebrating New Year’s Eve, so this meant a lot. To top it off, they even gave us a complimentary buffet dinner for the NYE celebration – such a thoughtful and generous gesture!||The suite itself was clean and spacious, perfect for our family. Sure, some of the furniture is showing its age – maybe it’s time for some reupholstering? – but it didn’t take away from the overall comfort. You even can see the fireworks from the windows of the suite. The staff was super accommodating and always made sure we had what we needed, which made the stay extra special.||The hotel does feel a bit like it’s from its “glory days,” and there’s this old smell in the lobby and elevators that could use some attention. Maybe a professional dehumidifier and some air fresheners would do the trick. But honestly? The warm and friendly vibe of the place more than makes up for it.||Would I come back? Oh, absolutely 100% yes! It’s one of those places where you feel like the staff genuinely cares. The fast internet, amazing service, and thoughtful gestures made it an unforgettable stay.
