Siglo Modern Filipino Restaurant, located near Picnic Grove, is a wonderful dining spot. On a rainy evening, my friends and I decided to visit at around 8 PM, and we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Goto Overload with Tokwa't Baboy and the Batangas Lomi, both of which were exceptionally delicious and gave off a cozy vibe, perfect for the weather.
To complement our meal, we tried the Buko Halo-Halo Salad, which was also a delightful surprise. Additionally, their unique drink offering, Karots, Kamatis, Kalamansi (KKK), caught my attention with its distinct and delicious flavor. I highly recommend it to those looking to explore new tastes.
What made our evening even more memorable was the discovery of a hidden cafe behind the restaurant - "Siglo Brew," a secret cafe. We couldn't resist trying it out as well. The cafe's offerings were equally impressive and added to our overall positive experience.
In terms of pricing, Siglo Modern Filipino Restaurant strikes a balance - it's not overly expensive and offers reasonable prices for the generous serving sizes. The staff was exceptionally accommodating and efficient, and they even accept GCASH payments for added convenience.
This venue is an excellent choice for those who seek a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, providing a great ambiance for dining...
Read moreStarted a bit slow with attending to serve, but i patiently waited. I ordered native tinola. I chose to dine here because i wanted peace and quiet. I had a choice to dine inside where its less windy, more homey and has more of a dining feel, ; and an al fresco option, a bit windy though, and some bit of passing jeep smoke gets in the mix. But its a weekday luch time, and this is on the picnic grove side where theres less people so it gives you a a special al fresco feel in a very accessible place. The tinola was truly native. You can see it in the chicken pieces where you have less meat (muscular), fatty skin, slender and sharp bones. The soup was a bit salty (does not call for patis, but i needed a sili catcher to disperse the heat) calamansi doesnt feel like a match. The soup has some hint of chicken noodle soup flavor. (Maggi) The meat pieces i got, 2 legs, 4 wings, 1 thigh, a neck or 2... almost all nibbler pieces. Only the thigh served as the chunk. The soup bowl interestingly keeps the heat even if it is a bit cold and windy. Same as my coffee. The rice is ok, its just a cup size. The restroom is clean as it is located in the lobby area of the hostel. I kinda liked the experience. Nothing super special, it just gives you a proper place for dining al fresco in a very...
Read moreWe initially planned to eat somewhere else, but since the restaurant we wanted to visit had limited parking, we decided to come here instead. It was a happy accident because, honestly, this place was already on my saved list! I just hadn’t been ready to try it yet. But as they say, you can’t prepare too much for greatness, right?
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The food was absolutely amazing shockingly delicious, to the point where it’s hard to describe. The first thought that came to mind was how perfect this place is for bringing friends from abroad or hosting foreign visitors. It’s highly recommended!
Another highlight is the parking spacious and stress-free, which is such a big deal in the Tagaytay area. The staff were also incredibly friendly and welcoming, assisting us as soon as we arrived.
Overall, we’re so grateful for the experience. It felt great to finally tick this off my...
