The hotel is very new (opened March 2019), very stylish and a total pleasure to stay in. The reason I chose this hotel for my weekend getaway to sample Łódź's restaurants and bars was because I had a totally satisfying stay in their sister hotel in Gdańsk several years ago. I was not disappointed. High-rating hotels in Poland can be a mixed bag. While service, food quality and cleanliness are rarely an issue in top-rating accommodation, the overall design and detailing can by rather woeful. Not so at PURO where everything is simply spot-on, well designed and beautifully detailed, making for total contemporary urban comfort and aesthetic pleasure (great backdrops for selfies!). I didn't use the hotel restaurant on this visit (though I assume it is excellent, based on my PURO Gdańsk dinning experience), but the cafe makes excellent coffee, and my midnight arrival at the hotel was made very pleasant by finding the rooftop Spirit Bar mixologists were serving outstanding cocktails (e.g. a cucumber-infused extra dry Gin Martini) in a stylish and relaxed ambiance till 3 am. I will stay here gain on my next visit. Oh, on a final note, the Porter&Sail concierge App that accompanies your booking is excellent. I used it to make one of my dinner reservations at a top local restaurant, and the App's tips on places to enjoy, helpfully filled some...
Read moreMy experience at the hotel far surpassed our expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The rooms were not only clean but also tastefully decorated, adding a touch of charm to our stay. Besides, the view from our room were a delightful bonus.
One of the highlights of our visit was undoubtedly the excellent food served at the hotel's restaurant. The variety of dishes offered was impressive, and each meal was a delight to the taste buds. Additionally, we appreciated the thoughtful gestures of hospitality, such as finding complimentary juices in the room and having access to free coffee and tea in the lobby.
I highly recommend visiting the rooftop bar during your stay. It is a must-see spot that offers a fantastic ambiance and, most importantly, a selection of unique cocktails that are sure to leave a lasting impression. It was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploration.
In conclusion, our time at this hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. We were thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service, lovely rooms, breathtaking views, delectable food, and the little touches of kindness that made our stay truly memorable. We'll definitely be returning for another stay...
Read moreI was booked at this hotel for four nights. Unfortunately, I had to cut my stay short by a night as I found the hotel room intolerable. Put simply, PURO Hotel Łódź Centrum is a hotel with pre set heating/air conditioning which cannot be disabled. Reception helped me turn down the heating as much as possible - but even with the window slightly open, it was very stuffy and led to poor sleep. You know those rooms that are overheated and you wake up headachy or you end up having little sleep - well, that's the PURO Hotel Łódź Centrum? And throw into the mix the strongly scented chemicals used to pre clean the room prior to arrival - well, you can throw in breathing difficulties into the mix.
For information: Room 202 looks over the carpark and has no view of the magnificent main street - bear room choice in mind if you thought you might be getting a view of the wonderful area the hotel is located.
Also for information: the shower water pressure is poor. Again, I don't know if that's unique to Room 202 or the hotel more generally.
On the plus side: charming Reception staff nice hair conditioner bicycles, coffee and spa available.
But if you cannot sleep/breathe easily at a hotel or have a nice shower,...
