Booked are holiday through are local Tui branch to Krakow Poland from the 19/5/25 -26/5/25 and was advised and sold the Best Western Galicya hotel,as the place to stay. I would truly advise anyone booking this hotel to stay clear as it is not a Best Western it is actually owned by the Satoria group and certainly not for tourists. The hotel itself is for conferences, school trips ect.|Now for are experience. On a arrival the welcome was not the warmest and the hotel was not what we expected after seeing the photos Tui showed us,the rooms are outdated and tired .Are first nights stay there was a complete nightmare, there was a coach full of school kids stopping at the hotel ,and they were screaming and playing up until 1am even though I complained to reception earlier, and these kids were there for a further 3 nights. The restaurant was small and we were not allowed access for four nights due to it being used for the school kids ,and for a conference reception, also we were not allowed to use it for 3 mornings for the same reason. The restaurant closes at 10am and all drinks machines are switched off .|Please also note the rooms do not have any milk,no coffee and limited tea ,no English tv channels, the beds are two singles pushed together even though we paid for a premium double room, the air conditioning dose not work ,if you open the window due to the rooms being so hot the noise from the trams keeps you awake. As for the staff only one was helpful. |So to sum up are stay at this hotel it was a nightmare and if you find this review hard to belive check it out on Google, and also look up the Satoria group. I would also like to add that Krakow is a beautiful city ,that we really enjoyed, just the accommodation that let the...
Read moreFor a 3-star hotel it is satisfactory. The reception staff was willing, as was the cleaning staff. The breakfast is international, with a satisfactory variety. The dishes we tried at dinner were excellent. And there is a variety of choices. The negative was the restaurant staff. Both the two young women in the morning and the burly employee in the evening, were indifferent and bored, just to get the job done... The waiter almost kicked us out of the place when we returned and wanted to sit down and drink a beer. Under the pretext that he had to clean the tables, he did not allow the ladies of our group to sit down, he spoke strictly and in an intense tone. Not at all professional!!! Just finish what he was doing and don't dirty the place again. Unacceptable behavior!!! And when we bought drinks from outside, because he didn't serve us from the bar, he sent us to sit on the sofa at the reception and on the stairs!!! The receptionist on duty didn't react!!! On the contrary, the young evening employee, the blonde one, was very helpful, willing and always with a smile!! The room was clean and relatively comfortable. For a simple stay, the hotel is convenient because it is close to the center, while tram lines 8 & 18 pass next door and you reach the Wawel Castle in 7 minutes and the shopping center...
Read moreWe enjoyed our weekend here. The breakfast offered lots of options and the everything on offer was resupplied plentifully. The dining room is very pleasingly modern. This hotel is not in the city centre but we enjoyed waking into the city. It is maybe a thirty minute walk to bridges across the Vistula into the old city area. Nearby there are McDonald's, KFC, a supermarket behind McDonald's, a petrol/gas station with a Wild Bean cafe and a convenience store. There are also pharmacies nearby. Tram stops are maybe 150 metres from the hotel. Parking has to be paid for but with a generous number of spaces. The restaurant has a small selection of dishes, but the ones we tried were really pretty good, although not that cheap. There rooms are tidy although not really modern. It was great to be able to control the temperature easily in the room. I personally found the beds too soft and too hot. I reckon they are foam mattresses. However, for three nights that was fine. There is no fridge or room safe, but there is a kettle and free bottles of water and packets of coffee granules, creamer, tea bags. There was a small table and two upright...
