Just from the entrance Jorge was very unprofessional and said to my friend to get in faster as is getting cold inside. After that we got a nice guy serving us ( Mateo), which we’ve asked if we can move to a different table and he said yes. Few minutes later we saw that Jorge yelled at him saying that was a reserved table ( ours was too) and we ware not supposed to stay there . He came and raised his voice at us as well instead of explaining in a nice manner what was going on. After that , some how , Mateo was send in the kitchen area and our order was brought by some other waiter and no other waiter came to our table till the end of the night when we asked for the owner phone number . After that 2 of them came to ask for if we want coffee or wine . In the mean time Jorge and the other waiter in the area were going to all the other clients asking if they need anything , pouring wine in their glasses , smiling , asking questions and so on . Looks like Mateo , and us as well , were punished for taking over one of Jorge’s table. The way this waiter , Jorge , was acting towards his younger colleague and towards us was really unprofessional. We came at the restaurant with a reservation , to enjoy a Fado music night and we had one of the worst experience in Portugal . Not to mention that all the 3 courses that we ordered were REALLY Salty -I have seen that another client said that somebody has to take the salt away from the chef! I hope , the owner will see this comment and will try to make something...

Terrible place, never again and you shouldn't either. We waited from 8:30 till 10:30 when they came with our order, but apparently it was for the table next to us. 15 minutes later they come and tell us they switched tables and gave them our order and it'll be ready soon. Then we got our food and it was well done when we asked for medium rare so they said they were gonna fix it and then ONE MINUTE LATER, LITERALLY ONE MINUTE WAS HOW LONG IT TOOK to bring us our medium rare steaks. we waited for 2 hours and 20 minutes for something they apparently did in 1 MINUTE!

So we complained and the waiter said they'll so something about it, when we went to pay I went to the owner because i didn't wanna start an hassle in the restaurant. He got mad, extremely mad. You could see the anger in his eyes, felt like he'd really wanna stab me at this point when we didn't do anything wrong besides complaining about the long wait. I'm not one to write reviews and if he gave me a 5 or 10 euro discount to show he made a mistake that would be fine. But he just said well you got your food so now pay up. Can't believe people give this place a good review.

Best steak I have ever had! Portuguese sirloin, medium. Comes with sliced potatoes. Far more tender and tasty than most fillet steaks I have had over the years, cooked to perfection, and a gastronomic delight. I had a delicious side order of sauteed mushrooms for 2.50, which were so plentiful I couldn't finish them all. Dessert was a traditional Portuguese tart; subtle but beautiful finish to one of the best restaurant meals I have ever had. There is an extensive wine menu, but they have excellent wine by the glass if you ask. My wife had a glass of red, the bouquet of which kept wafting across the table during our meal--definitely not from a cheap bottle of vin de table! I drank tonic water, which was served with plenty of ice and sliced lemon, which is rare in my experience. I highly recommend this restaurant if you appreciate great food. Not super cheap, but in terms of value for money, it ranks with the very best. It's worth staying in Albufeira just to visit here, it is that good. Wish we had more time in our holiday to...
