We went to this place when our Portuguese transfer driver recommended it as a place he would go to. So you walk into the side entrance, get a plate, walk into a buffet style hot/cold food holding area, salad bar, grilled fish/meats, Portugese cuisine, stewed beans and other desserts. Then pick up a tray, grab a drink, weigh your plate and pay for your order, grab a table and consume your food, simple. Lots of families and local people there. A very climate friendly concept of “take what you plan to eat” at this uniquely designed self service restaurant. A wide slate of dishes are kept steaming ready. You just load your plate or takeaway box with what you need, have them weighed and check that the applied rate is in line with the most expensive item you have picked up.

Then you add the drinks and desserts from the list on display and settle down to a delicious yet affordable repast.

Case by case basis, our family visit to this establishment was terrible, tourist destination and every dish was only in Portuguese, so it was difficult for my family to understand.
