The room was very nice. High ceilings, stylish, clean and overall new. The bathroom was also particularly clean and nice. I personally really like the bed and bedding in the room, as well as the amount of lighting (the room is very bright with all of the lights on). The room is just as nice as it is in the listing pictures. If the room itself is your top priority— this is your pick. That said the bathroom contained very limited amenities, I believe there had just been an all in one shampoo/soap. It was also a bit inconvenient that guests are not permitted to adjust the A/C. You don’t get much noise from the adjacent rooms but there will be some unavoidable plane and traffic noises. It was a bit unclear to us whether the water in the room was complimentary so we did not take it. If it was, they’re a but more generous than other accommodations on that front. The only feature of the facility that actually bothered me was the extremely strong perfume in the common area of the building (though thankfully not the rooms)
Access was relatively easy. The key codes were sent through Expedia and we had no issue. The lack of line breaks made it a bit difficult to read but the instructions were clear.
The hotel is a bit farther away from major tourist attractions so one would need to make use of public transport because the distance isn’t walkable. Getting Bolts from the hotel had been a bit difficult though because of the location of the hotel and the somewhat complex surrounding streets. We originally booked this hotel our last night before departure because of proximity to the airport but it took nearly 30 minutes to get a Bolt driver to confirm our trip. Our previous hotel in Alfama had an optional £30 shuttle which is admittedly more expensive,...
Read moreThe rooms of this airport hotel are great. Especially but not only considering the price. Of course it is outside of the inner city and close to the airport. This also means you can hear airplanes flying in and out. At least in our room those noises were noticable but not preventing from sleeping. The air condition was actually quite loud and consistently made weird noises, which distracted from the planes. Since we stayed a total of 8 hours in the room (just to sleep) we weren't able to address this during our stay, so no harm done here.
Besides that, the rooms are, as written very nice. High ceilings, big spacious bathroom, even a walk-in closet (not needed but still nice).
Everything was as advertised and we spent a good night on comfortable beds.
the video was made from the parking lot, showing once the proximity to the airport and the reason...
Read morePreviously on my trips via Lisbon, I had stayed at nearby hotels. In truth, I wasn't really sure what to expect at Le Jardin. Unreservedly I will say that I was pleased and relieved with Le Jardin. The interior was clean, well maintained and comfortable. The exterior (although I didn't visit the rear garden) was well kept, landscaped and cared for.
The owners responded promptly to communications, kindly booking my early morning taxi (which arrived on time, plus was the cheapest airport taxi I have had to far).
My overall impression of Le Jardin was it was a place that the owners actually cared for (rather than just a money making project). It was a place that exuded care and warmth.
I would not hesitate to stay there again and have already recommended it to people, as a place to stay if they are traveling...
