Metropolitan Living Lisbon Laranjeiras — Hotel in Lisbon

Please do not let yourself be tricked by the amount of positive reviews as I am starting to think they are all fake. Booked a room, the place is advertised as sound proof and interior room and it’s far away from that. We were next to a road, a really busy one and we could hear every single car, motorbike, bus, airplane, people… It was as we were in the middle of the road. We spend 3 nights without sleep. The soundproof is not just the only lie of this extremely disappointing experience. The place is full of bugs, in the entrance and the room. The room was not cleaned at all, stains in the sheets and covers and walls, fingerprints everywhere, hairs from other people in the room, dust everywhere, shower not cleaned. There were parts of the room falling apart, the bathroom ventilation was not working at all, we had to shower and had the room full of the water condensation. The fridge was super noisy to a point we thought it was the bathroom ventilation of the next room until we figure it out it was not. To put the cherry on top, the room smelled disgusting smelly, like a dark humid closet. That room had not been ventilated in ages, maybe because of you open the windows you are in the middle of the road and the bathroom ventilation is not working.||This was the biggest SCAM of my life. I have no words. Additionally not service at all, tried to message the property and the replies were AI talking to us, not addressing the problems and just gaslighting us into believing everything was fine. They said the would come and clean the room, no cleaning even happened. FALSE ADVERTISING- BUGS- DIRTY - NOISY 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮||P.S:came with my mum, she has a knee injury and they had supposedly an elevator, surprise, surprise, the elevator was not working either.||Never again. If you’re looking for a family friendly place that’s quiet, clean, spacious, renovated/new, close to the metro train and affordable, then look no further than here. We stayed 2 nights. It’s a 5-10 minute walk to the metro train. There’s a really good fast food kebab place 5 minute walk away. We ended up eating there (take our first nigh, walk in following night) because the food was good and cheap. Checkin can be challenging especially if you arrive at night. Very elegant and high tech apartments. If you don't have too many luggage you will be faster if you take the stairs as the elevator is quite slow. The studio itself is very modern and elegant with a little bit of antique touch ( window shutters). In the studio there is also a small kitchen and a fridge.
