Clean and functional rooms. Looking still nicely decorated. Bathroom was functional shower cubicle was large and no limits found on the hot water. We had a TV. We were on the lower floor and the street noise was quite loud if the window was open. Air-conditioning worked well. Room to store all our luggage. Next to a club operating odd hours no noise impact but at certain times lots of intoxicated people around, no issues. A morning snack of pastries and rolls if you were up before they went 🙂 Lounge area was fine but the TV there did have a volume issue, I assume it was fixed low for good reason but was way too low. There was an internal open area used mainly for smoking and drying the odd bit of washing. All key card and access codes to room and building, not a 24hr reception. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the lounge. A shared fridge freezer in the lounge. No alcoholic drink allowed to be drunk on the premises.

V. good experience, great location on the harbour. This is a new boutique hostel/hotel finished to a high standard. Lovely use of space, lots of light, contemporary styling. Rooms very comfortable with good WiFi everywhere excellent range of cable / satellite TV international channels and nice lounge / dining area. Very clean. Many thanks to Joana, Marcio and Luis for being so helpful, friendly and welcoming. The criticism I will make though is the design of the kitchen - it's really too small for the size of the hostel especially if more than one person wants to cook. In addition there is no extractor fan or even windows and a fire alarm above the cooking/hob unit! Lol. There was also no space at all in the kitchen to store any food you may buy because it was all taken up with plates, cups, glasses etc etc - in fact far more than would ever be needed. Not sure what happened there - who placed the order?

Great boutique hostel with a local taste of Ilha do Pico's magic atmosphere. Everything was perfect: strategic location! The entire building has been renovated and turned into a real treasure for people who enjoy a calm environment, in a nice and quiet village. From the checkin until the checkout, Luis is a perfect host and pays attention to all details you'd expect as a guest. The entire place has been daily cleaned, and even with only a few guests, all areas smell great and bring good feelings once you arrive. Rooms were good, bedrooms very comfy, bathrooms were tide and shower is very good! No issues at all. You can enjoy coffee shops and restaurants nearby, and walk to the terminal passenger for ferry boats to next island (Horta, Faial). Will come back for sure!
