Notice to foreign tourists: you will not be well received at this restaurant.
There were three of us who ordered burgers, and after 1 hour and 30 minutes, we still hadn't received our orders. It's worth noting that two tables arrived after us (locals), ordered burgers and they were served very quickly. Fed up with the wait, I went to the counter and apologized, saying that I was going to cancel my order because it was taking too long. The server asked me to wait, so I waited for 5 minutes on the terrace. Eventually, I went inside, and the same server seemed like he wanted to go back to the terrace and asked me to wait again before going to the kitchen. Judging by the expression on the cook's face, I understood that I wouldn't be served, so I left. My two friends stayed for an additional 10 minutes, but since they hadn't received their orders either, they wanted to leave. The server suggested they take the food to go and asked them to wait even longer (keep in mind that they still hadn't started preparing our order). The server didn't apologize at all for the wait and claimed that there were many tables (which wasn't the case). They also didn't offer any compensation (such as complimentary drinks). Overall, they were unwelcoming, not friendly, and didn't seem bothered by not serving us (they even seemed to laugh at us). Furthermore, the toilets were very dirty, and there were hairs in the sink, as if someone had shaved in it. I don't know if their lack of kindness was due to racism towards foreigners, but either way, I strongly advise against...
Read moreThere is a problem with this place which is consistently referred to in some of the reports and it is attitude/service. We quite liked the location overlooking the small boats port (but the brutalist concrete ferry port takes some of the charm away!) so we popped in for a beer with a view to a possible light lunch. We asked for a couple of beers and were told to take the poor seats. We chose badly and were instructed to change our location to even worse seats as the ones we had chosen were needed for people who were eating. It was about 12.30pm and there were just two tables occupied. I pointed this out and was told that within half an hour the place would be packed. I said don't worry we will be gone by then (as all thoughts of a light lunch had disappeared!). We departed at 1.15pm and there were numerous tables still unoccupied. Advice from two people of have spent successful careers in the industry - it is called "hospitality" and you...
Read moreThe positives first: the view is amazing - you look directly at the sea which creates a beautiful atmosphere unfortunately this were all the positives. The waiter at the reception was very unpleasant and not really welcoming but at the time we looked past that. The were two waiters, the older one was not really engaged in providing you a good time or good service the younger one was engaged but seems to struggle with english. The food was average for an above average price. Compared with the unpleasant service I would not go there again.
Additionally like meantioned several times in the reviews you need to eat there to get a table - we were watching when two people got kicked out because they were not eating. I would understand that if the restaurant was full but it wasn‘t, actually the only other two people were us.
Summarizing: the atmosphere is beautiful but the food and also the service needs to...
