Grill Meia Laranja — Restaurant in Nazaré

I would highly recommend this place. The food was good and priced fairly. We were there on a Friday night and noticed a majority of the customers were locals. When we entered we told the women at the counter we wanted to dine in. She directed us to a table. A waiter came and delivered bread and olives to the table these cost extra I assume you can turn them away if you don't want them. We ordered a half chicken and split it between the two of us since we were not needing a big meal. We ordered piri piri sauce but it didn't have any spice, maybe we need to ask for spicy piri piri. Everything was good. Every seat has a view of the kitchen where you can see the grill full of chicken's...

Had a great meal here - had to wait for 30 minutes because I was quite early and I ordered the chicken which still had to be grilled at the time. I didn't mind the wait. Great food, good portion! Would have loved more salad but it's because I was craving greens. Will be going back; entire meal including a bottle of water was €10 euros. Incredible. I loved the atmosphere as well — exactly as it should be and I love that later on more locals folks came and had a meal also. I went and dined by myself and it's a perfectly fine place to do that....

Simply the best grilled chicken on the Silver Coast - served with nicely dressed salad, fries and rice

Great value at €8.50 and the lady owner is very kind and friendly

Easy to find - right opposite the mercado central. Always busy with locals getting take away, but sitting in has never been a problem

My benchmark for comparison is O’Riberinho in Guia, Algarve.

This place is even better … and yes, you can have “com Piri Piri” 🌶️
