I had a pleasant stay in this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. Love the beautiful tiled shower area (see picture). However, I did notice the shower area had an odor I believe coming from the shower drain. The sink was also a bit slow on draining. Perhaps the piping needs attention. I think the best part of the hotel was the service, every staff was attentive. I left my shirt on the bed and when I came back, the room service lady folded it neatly and placed it on the bed. Little details like this really makes the customers feel welcome. I was also impressed by the friendliness of the staff at the restaurant there. At one point I asked a staff, his name was Leonido, during my breakfast buffet to explain to me what a desert called marmalade was, he kindly explained to me with pictures and all and, more importantly, told me the hotel uses the traditional original recipe. The marmalade was indeed very good. It has a light tangy-sweet flavor. I pretty much used it as a jam for my breads 😋 and a cereal bowl I made with oat/seeds mixed together with non-sweet yogurt and the marmalade. It was delicious and healthy! In terms of location, it’s a bit away from the main tourist area. I ended up walking (if you enjoy hilly but beautiful scenery) and making use of the convenient public transportation a lot. Not a problem for me but that may bother some. A side benefit of being away from the tourist area is that things are a lot cheaper here! All in all, I really enjoy my stay in this hotel. The cost of the stay was reasonable. I will definitely come back again in the future.

Very good hotel overall. Nice spacious room, friendly staff who allowed us to keep our bags there before and after our stay. The location is about 20 minutes away from center. Nice stoll downhill to the center but walking back uphill might be a steuggle. The only few minor things to note - while breakfast was delicious, there wasn't very much choice. So you're mostly eating cooked eggs, sandwiches and dessert pastry (which was really good). But over time it can get repetitive. Also the garden we went to was completely empty, even the bar was closed, during its supposed opening hours. We only went once so not sure how it was on other days. Lastly, our room window was to the street so it was quite noisy if we chose to open it. That being said, it was a very good value for money and would definitely recommend it.

Rooms on the road side were noisy. Bed comfortable. Bathroom lacked hooks to put towels or clothes! Room 105 Lounge area had a carpet with a tiled walkway behind on a different level!!! I didn’t see the drop and fell off it. I was very shaken and hurt in too many places. I was given ice in a napkin but nothing was recorded! See photos attached. I think the furniture should block this dangerous area. Breakfast staff were struggling to keep up at a very busy time! Suggest more staff needed. The food was great.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel (previous time was 7 years ago for which I also wrote a 5 star review :) ) and it was just how we remembered it, such friendly staff especially Angela on the desk who was very helpful and informative and nothing was too much trouble. Nice quiet hotel, quiet rooms and clean. We had a larger room with a balcony which was lovely, there was a table and 2 chairs so we sat out and watched the sunset. There is a kettle in the room with tea replaced everyday. The bathroom could be considered a little small for some people but was fine for us and the shower was lovely. Breakfast is served in a lovely room (this was in a different place to our last visit) and there was plenty of choice of hot and cold foods. There is a small bar open most hours and at reasonable prices. The hotel is a little out but this is why we like it - you can get the bus from just round the corner to take you into the main area (only about 5 mins), we purchased a 24 hours ticket at the metro station which at the time of writing cost us about £4.50 and it was used well! There is also a metro station a short walk from the hotel - Marques - this is a good station to get off at as it is quite a flat walk to the hotel. There is also a small pingo dolce supermarket on the way. We love this hotel and would definitely come and stay again - we love the blue and...

We had a really nice week at this hotel. The room was comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was brilliant, really delicious food with tons of options. We only had dinner in the restaurant on our first night and it was excellent, but we also had food in the bar a couple of times which was another good option. The garden had a nice atmosphere. Other reviews have pointed out that the hotel is a bit of a walk from the centre, but it is well connected with public transport, we could have easily taken a bus to the centre but we chose to walk. Also, we quite liked that the hotel isn't in the middle of the more tourism focused areas, as we got to explore parts of Porto that we probably wouldn't have seen otherwise, including some really excellent restaurants such as the Taberna du Porto and Indian Flavours, both just a few minutes' walk away. There are also shops, including a supermarket, very nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful, on our first night a woman at the reception desk gave us a map of Porto and spent a while annotating it for us, pointing out places that might be good for us to visit, and we found this really helpful when...
