Low Cost Tourist Apartments - Palácio da Bolsa — Hotel in Porto

The apartment is well located right in the Ribeira, where you could walk to the river in just 2 minutes and to everywhere else in between 5-10 mins. Restaurants and bars are nearby so no need to stress about where to eat. Easy to find taxis at anytime. You cannot fault the location.||The apartment itself was large with an amazing view. There is no cleaning services nor reception. We ran out of toilet paper on the second day and had to buy. ||No coffee/tea, sugar, water, etc available. So bring your own. Plus bring an extra towel as they only have 2 and if you are staying for more than 2 days and with more than 2 people you will definitely need a clean towel.|Hot water runs funny. After 1 person shower, you need to wait at least 30 minutes to get hot water again. The A/C in the bedroom makes a lousy noise and we could not turning off. The apartment 4 which we stayed is at the top of the building but you still can hear noises and if it rains you hear the rain hitting the roof quite loud. Bring earplugs!||The bedroom wall had big spots of mold around the 2 windows. However, everything else was clean. ||Conclusion, the place is all about the view and the location. It is a bit pricey for the services you get...

Really lovely and modern apartment (we stayed in the apartment 4 on the top floor), with a lift making getting to the top floor easy especially with suitcases.||||Perfect location, just 10 minutes walk from São Bento train station and São Bento metro station and right in the heart of Porto centre with only 5 minutes walk to the river side (which is just beautiful).||||In addition, views from the top floor apartment are really lovely.||||HOWEVER, temperatures in Porto when we stayed were 30 to +40 degrees and in our apartment the air conditioning although switches on did not provide any cooling to the apartment ...... I believe it is due to the air con units not being services for some time.||||The owners are aware of this as they provide an oscillating fan in the bedroom to try and make up for the air con not working.||||So, in a nutshell, brilliant apartment BUT I would not stay here again unless the air conditioning units are serviced / repaired as the heat in that apartment...

I booked the 1 bed apartment with views but nothing can prepare you for the views you get. The apartment is actually "U" shaped so a good sized bedroom and living area either end are separated by a galley kitchen. Every room has windows that open and looks out on a view. It's magic day or night.||We had key troubles (got locked out on night one when it failed) so the lock was replaced the next day. As we stayed 5 nights, we got a free clean mid stay but the cleaners mustn't have been given a new key so left clean towels etc. at the door. You can pay a small sum to have a clean at any other time.||Furnishings were modern, wifi worked well, the bed and pillows were comfortable and then there was the view! Location is great and once you get your bearings, you can see the apartment from anywhere down below it or over the river!||I would pay more to have air freshener in the bathroom, an iron and ironing board and a hair dryer-those few things would have really...
