An unforgettable experience — even our 2-year-old was captivated!

We had the most wonderful evening at Fado na Baixa. The performance was absolutely incredible. Deeply moving, beautifully explained, and flawlessly executed. The artists not only sang and played with passion and skill, but also shared the cultural and historical context behind each song, which made the experience even more meaningful.

What truly amazed us was that our 2-year-old daughter, was completely absorbed for the entire 90 minutes — fully engaged, calm, and clearly enjoying every moment. That alone says so much about the emotional power and atmosphere of this show.

At the end, they even shared the full setlist of songs performed, which was such a thoughtful gesture.

This is not just a tourist attraction, it’s a genuine, intimate encounter with Portuguese soul. The ticket price is more than worth it. If you’re in Porto, don’t miss it. They truly deserve...

Thank you so much for the wonderful experience last night at your Fado singing event venue in Porto! Although the location is very touristy, we were treated incredibly politely and personally. The concept of learning more about the culture and history of Fado music with a glass of Port wine (which was delicious, by the way!) was incredibly emotional, and the professionally produced short films in between introduced us even deeper into the world of this active and traditional music culture. The voices and instrumentalists were not only on a high musical level, but also very personable and involving in their multilingual song introductions. The idea of addressing the audience in their own language showed how much love and pride were invested in this idea. I had goosebumps throughout and would recommend this event to anyone looking for an unforgettable and authentic experience in the world of Fado music. Grandiose!

Much Love Timo...

It’s a great happiness to know that there are still people who truly love what they do. You can feel it in every single detail — like when (perhaps) the owner serves you your Port wine with such dignity, as if you were his most precious guest.

I counted at least five languages he speaks fluently — that alone is impressive!

And what a brilliant idea to include a short video explaining the essence of Fado. I’ve been working as a tour guide for many years and have attended several Fado evenings before — I enjoyed them all, but this one truly exceeded every expectation.

He also sings himself — and that, I must say, is probably the most beautiful performance I’ve heard in a long time.

I can honestly say: this experience deserves not five, but ten stars.

I wholeheartedly recommend it and feel so grateful that, at the very end of my journey, I found myself at such a...

I had my second Fado show experience here. Comparing to what I've had, the Fado show here was held in a more intellectual and educational style - The performance was accompanied by videos to introduce the history and revolution of fado songs and two types of protugese guitars: the lisbon one and the coimbra one. The number of guitar players here were two, one for coimbra guitar and one for classic guitar, while some place there could be extra two guitar or cello players. This made the performance here more pure and original. A highlight here was to hear two traditional coimbra songs in addition to common folk songs. Besides, a glass of porter wine had been given before the show began at the entrance, so that you could enjoy the whole performance with a glass of port wine in hand. I really admire that and highly recommend here to anyone interested in experience fado show in Porto!

My partner and I were in Porto and were looking for an opportunity to learn more about Fado and it's origins and the legacy of this wonderful music and we were informed by our Hotel manager Diogo of this venue. We reserved seating for 6PM and doors opened at 4ish and we had a great conversation with Edwardo ahead of the show. The music was incredible the Portuguese Guitar and Classical guitar and our vocalist(S) were amazing. The added value is the documentary that speaks to the history of the music, it's beginning and the value it has had over the past 2 centuries, still strong and 'coming of age'' unto itself now in more modern times We could not have been happier with this opportunity and would have been saddened to have left Porto with out seeing this stunning performance. Bravo to all .. amazing .. Bill Girolamo Melrose Massachusetts
