Read moreI had the pleasure of spending a pleasant 2 night stay at Owls Hostel, The property is located in a quiet location, nestled in a large area that offers a sense of peace and relaxation.
The check-in procedure was quick and smooth, which was particularly appreciated by the undersigned considering the many hours of travel accumulated. In general, the reception staff was extremely courteous and helpful in providing information on the structure and the services offered, as well as on the local attractions.
The room I stayed in was spacious, welcoming and above all clean.
Particularly appreciated the availability of the kitchen.
The property also has a nice living room which was a saving grace during the cold winter days, not to mention the nice, clean and scented showers.
However, there is room for some small improvements. I noticed that the Wi-Fi connection in some areas of the hotel was a bit weak, which can be an inconvenience for those who use it for work or simply to watch a movie on the Internet.
Overall they are attentive and sensitive to anticipating needs and expectations thanks to an impeccable, personalized and engaging service, for this reason I would without a doubt recommend this Hostel... to...

To get into the hostel, you need a numeric code at the front door. At some point during our stay, the code was changed without any message or email being sent to guests. The only update was a new piece of paper behind on the door, so if you're not paying attention daily, you could easily miss it and end up locked out (the staff however opens the door if you ring the bell). That said, the location of the hostel is very central and well connected. The area felt safe and I was even able to work there for a couple of days thanks to a common area/lounge, which was a big plus. Overall, it’s a decent place to stay if you’re in Porto, but a bit more attention to communication and cleanliness would make a...
