I stayed at Hotel Timbré Heroísmo during my visit to Porto and had a very pleasant experience overall. It’s a modern, well-designed hotel with a focus on cleanliness and comfort. From the moment I arrived, everything felt well-maintained and thoughtfully organized. The location is excellent—quiet enough to rest, yet well connected to the city, with public transport and key areas within easy reach. One of the things I appreciated most was how the hotel handled the fitness aspect: instead of a traditional gym, they offer a well-equipped outdoor fitness area. It’s a creative and refreshing solution, especially if you enjoy working out in the open air. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a particularly good bed that provided restful sleep. The shower was another highlight—strong water pressure and modern fittings made it a pleasure to use. I also spent time on the terrace, which I found to be a very comfortable and relaxing space, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Timbré Heroísmo for its cleanliness, thoughtful amenities, and contemporary feel. It’s a great option for both leisure and business travelers looking for a well-located and comfortable stay in Porto.

Not really the service and quality I was expecting from a 4 star hotel. The whole floor smelled a little moldy. We had dirty sheets on arrival. An odd crusted stain on the grey bed cover. Stains on the chair, and a leaky toilet. The included breakfast had a lot of cheeses and cold meats. The eggs were cold even if they were supposed to be heated. Staff seemed busy and constantly preoccupied when compared to other hotels in Portugal on our trip. The outdoor area was nice to look at, but they oddly have only about 15 songs going around in a loop. We spent our first night outdoors having a dring, but when we'd heard Quincy Jones Soul Bossa Nova at least 10 times, we decided to spend our time outside of the hotel. When we left, my wife had a huge lump of dark mechanics grease which fell from the grey doors leading to the underground parking lot right down her neck. When she went back to the help desk, they had a hard time trying to find soap to wash the grease out. They apparently didn't have any soap left in the employee's toilets...

Great location, comfortable room. I mostly want to note that the parking garage entrance is right next to the front door of the hotel. I was warned about driving and parking in Porto, so I opted for this place and was not disappointed. There are ample parking stalls and an attendant on duty each time I visited my vehicle. I was able to find the hotel easily using Google maps, and I was able to walk wherever I needed from this location (and I have a bad knee). The hotel restaurant and bar were ok, but plenty of other places well within walking distance. As a solo female traveler, I was still very comfortable walking around after dark.

We arrived at this hotel and I really liked it. Everything is modern and nice. But at the end of the day, the twist came. First, the wall between the room and the toilet is made of glass. So while you're being in the room, you can see through the glass when someone is sitting on the toilet or having a shower. If you are alone or with someone who you can watch taking his toilet business or shower, it's fine. But it wasn't my case. It's humiliating, but whatever. Unfortunately, there is something worse here in this hotel. I went to the toilet and at the end of my toilet business, I found out there is no toilet brush. As you can already assume, I needed this brush for an obvious reason. I thought I can't just find it and it was my mistake. I spent some time looking for it, but I wasn't successful. So after a while, full of shame, I decided to go down to the reception and explain my problem to the young, good-looking woman in the suit. She kindly smiled and told me that they don't have toilet brushes in this hotel. Like... What? I asked again just to confirm I heard that correctly. I'm not kidding, for some reason they don't have any toilet brushes in this hotel. I'm traveling a lot and I've never experienced this before. Not even in poor Asian or African countries I've visited. I was shocked, but this kind woman offered me at least sending a cleaning service for my room. But honestly, I didn't know what to say to this generous offer and rather disappeared to my room. I have to stay here one more night. Wish me luck and consider carefully if you want to accommodate a hotel with a glass wall dividing the main room and the toilet, purposely with no toilet brush! PS: the review system offers me to attach images but trust me, you don't want any images attached to...

Great location, modern and spacious design. Very interesting design of hotel, most if not all rooms have view of garden and face away from busy road, perfect for quiet and restful sleep. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, very professional. Breakfast is really good, and definitely worth the money, especially if you get it included in your room rate; great selection lots of fruits, meats and cheeses as well as impressive hot meals. Location is a little bit out of the city centre, and located in the quiet neighbourhood. If you would like to be close to historic neighbourhood and attractions and would like to avoid crowds of tourists this is perfect location for you. Hotel is located about 30 easy walk away from city centre, or short subway ride away (subway station located less than 1 minutes away from hotel). There is a traditional Portuguese bakery located less than 100 meters away from hotel, if you don't want to pay for breakfast at hotel, this is great for quick bite to eat in the morning. Hotel also has great COVID-19 protocol, hand sanitizers are everywhere and you need to wear plastic gloves for breakfast, all staff wears masks at all times, plus cleaning is improved and commonly touched areas are cleaned...
