Imagine- walking past a display-window of elegantly prepared Portuguese Sandi’s ( we call ‘em “Sandwiches”) at eye level, that are whispering your name? “EAT-ME”… they beckon, & so you go inside for a better look. There you see a artfully displayed variety of offerings, both Savory & Sweet! There were at least 4-5 options of “Sandi’s”, multiple Muffins & Cakes, a whole tray of fried :Samosas, Croquettes, Bacalao, etc. and- a Lunch Special Combo of Sandi + Soup + Iced Tea, for 4€!? How can they do that? (A topic of discussion for another day, perhaps.) The Fried Egg, Cheese & Ham Sandwich on a Round Portuguese Roll was a delight! The Sliced Aged Serrano-Style Jamon Sandi ( pictured) was a treat to eat! Also lovely was the Walnut Muffin- moist and just sweet enough. Beijinhos to the Chef& Baker! Only negative was the temperature inside. Obviously their ovens raise the ambient temperature-dunnhh!🤔 IT IS A BAKERY!? Hello?! Yet, a proper ceiling fan along with a window-mounted-exhaust fan- can remedy anyone’s discomfort who decides to dine-in. Despite the fact we live in V.N. Gaia, (a long walk away)- in the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger - “I’LL BE BACK” !!💥 🫵🏻

😭 IF YOU ARE A FOREIGNER, 3 EURO BECOMES 5,20 EURO HERE!! We stayed at hotel next door, and decided to grab quick breakfast here. Ordered: -Set of Orange Juice + Croissant Misto (Ham & Cheese) -Almond Croissant -Chocolate Donut -Espresso coffee The espresso coffee was good, the orange juice just typical. As of food, we did not expect anything special, and they were nothing special indeed. The 1-star is due to how they upcharged us and the cashier's attitude when taking our order. The set breakfast was 3 Euros on the menu, but they charged 5,20 Euros! And the receipt said "Uni Turistico" with the wrong price - which means 1 Tourist. Overall, this place is not welcoming of foreigners/visitors. And the food is not worth risking your mood.

Charming small bakery and cafe that serves coffee, pastries and sandwiches. • Food: Display cases are just bursting with deliciousness. We had Pao de Deus, a mixture of egg jam and coconut on top of soft bread. It was really good. The coconut for me is the main source of sweetness that made it all work. We washed it down with good old Cappuccino. • Service: You can order drinks and food to go on the counter. Table service is also available. • Ambiance: Small cafe vibe. I figure locals pass by the bakery in their morning commute. Seating inside only. • Value: Prices were reasonable for the quality of food and service. Highly recommend for slow breakfast or to start the day on-the-go.

It's incredible how employees can ruin a business, the cashier man, who also sometimes serves the table has the worst attitude in the world, he is rude, it is always with a bad attitude, speaks horrible to customers, always makes a bad face and responds rudely, it doesn’t matter if the place is full or alone, it's always the same, terrible attitude, lack of customer service, actually this man is not polite. It's not the First time I go to this place, I have gone several times and whenever he is there it is a disaster, it is as if he hates selling and his life. Man, if you hate your job so much, look for another one. It will make you better. To The owners: you have the worst element...
