If you have ever been lucky enough to have a local cafe this is your equivalent when travelling. Don’t bother with the disappointment of eating by the Douro in Porto, instead hop on the metro to Heroismo, cross the road and look for the sign for Cafe Marinho. Established in 1956, this local has an extensive reasonably priced menu and wine list. We were in Porto for four nights and had our first lunch and two evening meals here.
