5 STARS - outstanding small restaurant. Small menu, but with great options (quite a few appetisers, 3 or 4 main dishes, around 5 desserts). I can’t remember the name of my meal, but it was tasty and interesting one. My wife had chosen chorizo which was roasted on the table - very innovative and impressive. We weren’t amazed by the taste of it but that’s because we’re not meat lovers, but it was great to try it. We’ve chosen recommmended vine, speciality of this restaurant and that was a good decision, it was just perfect. Starters were very interesting - olives you could dip in mixture of olive oil, balsamic vinegar and I guess, honey * fresh bread with butter. We have also ordered some desserts - see the photos published (for some reason I can’t upload them here but you can see it in pictures section ) . The Serra de Estrella cheese flam was DELICIOZO!!! To our good experience added customer service. Staff there is the one who goes over and above - smiling, helpful, friendly, very welcoming, we didn’t see as good staff anywhere since we’ve been a week in Portugal now. Well done to the boss for choosing such a good team :-) highly recommend !!

Out of the three days we were in Sintra, we came here twice. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful, easily some of the best we had during our entire trip to Portugal. The ambiance is warm and inviting, but what really made the experience stand out was the service. Our server, Phillip, was exceptional — attentive, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to walk us through every dish and really enhanced our overall experience. If you enjoy wine, this place is a must — their selection is fantastic. We couldn’t recommend it more. If you’re vegan, they are extremely accommodating:) The beet tartare and lasagna were both incredible.

Atentamente, Rafael. (comensal decepcionado)

Absolutely incredible meal here last night. The chorizo starter was just... Wow. Fantastic to look at as it flamed and the flavour was amazing. The cheese board starter was a fantastic sharer with some wonderful local cheeses and of course the traditional membrillo. The octopus main course blew me away! I love octopus at the best of times but this was on another level. Beautifully cooked (confit) so it just fell apart in your mouth and the flavour was exceptional. For pudding we shared all of the puddings and I couldn't pick a favourite! All fantastic local and exclusive dishes that you just have to try. My first time trying white port and I'm sold! Will be hunting it down to have at home. The house red wine was delicious. The service was perfect. Just the right balance between friendly and engaging without being intrusive. Great recommendations and advice which really added to the experience for us. The price tag was the cherry on top. Genuinely this was one of the best meals I've ever had in my life and I couldn't believe how affordable it was. If I lived nearby I'd move in! Very, very highly recommend, you won't be...

The only reason why I do not want to write this review is that I want to be able to come back and have the same amazing experience. Too many people will want to go there and then I will never be able to get a reservation! But Alex (the owner) and his staff were so incredibly friendly, helpful, customer focused, etc. you name it. They brought it and it was truly appreciated. Went to dinner with my two children (9 and 12). They are not the pickiest eaters but they know good food as they have lived in NYC all their lives. They have declared it their best meals ever. My son had the pork cheeks and my daughter had the octopus. They loved both. My wife had the surf and turf and I had the aged steak. The appetizers were so delicious we were disappointed when there wasn't anything left to eat. Every bite was perfect. They paired the wines for my wife and I for each part of the meal and they did it well. It was an overall experience and one that we will always remember. It was one of the many Portuguese experiences that made the trip so...
