LemonTree Eco Surf House Sagres — Hotel in Vila do Bispo

My experience with Lemontree went above and beyond my expectations. My trip did not include staying at Lemontree but I would gladly stay there next time. The house is cute and comfortable in a fun easy boho vibe. I walked through the kitchen and living room to look at merchandise they had for sale. They have several things to purchase as souvenirs with varying price points all with their cute logo on it. The gardens and backyard space are well care for and unique. Clearly a lot of love and care went into creating a welcoming space for people to relax and feel at home. I had 3 group surf lessons and each lesson was better than the last. The groups were small (3-5 people) and the instruction was targeted to my skill level. My last lesson with Willy was my favorite. He took 3 of us out for a lesson and hung with us in the water to give more lesson time. Even though I was not staying at Lemontree, they took me in as if I was a friendly guest. Willy and Noemi are amazing hosts and gentle souls with a fabulous eye for details clearly seen in their decor choices and their surfing instruction. They were beyond generous with their time and knowledge of the area. I really appreciated their consideration of my time and money as well giving tips for when to rent boards vs taking lessons. Board rental was awesome too, wetsuit was included and needed for the cold water temp. They had a large selection of boards and wetsuit sizes. They helped arrange a private lesson for my 13 year old daughter. My girlfriend and I stayed at the beautiful Lemon Tree Eco Surf Lodge for 5 days in April in the separate apartment which was incredibly spacious and lovingly decorated. The apartment features 4 beds (1 double in the main bedroom, 2 double bunks in the second room). The accommodation had everything we needed and more with a fully equipped kitchen. It was our first time in Sagres as well as our first time surfing and we couldn't have had a better experience than the one provided by Willy who is a fantastic and knowledgable host. Access to beaches is easy and only a short walk from the eco lodge. We were able to join some amazing yoga classes on site as well as enjoying Willie's delicious breakfasts :) There's also a great selection of restaurants, bars and cafe's all within walking distance so you have everything you need there! This is hands down the best place to stay in Sagres!

From the moment we arrived, Noemi and Willy made us feel so welcome; they are incredibly kind and generous hosts who, along with their amazing team, go above and beyond to ensure every guest has a memorable experience.

The location is perfect: just a short walk to both Praia da Mareta and Praia do Tonel, ideal for a surf session or a sunset stroll.

We stayed in the apartment, which was beautifully decorated and very spacious. The beds were super comfortable, the Starlink WiFi was lightning fast, and the outdoor area (with hammock and exercise equipment!) was a fantastic bonus.

The team was always happy to share thoughtful recommendations that made our stay even more special. Every place we visited and every meal we had was amazing and time truly flew by.
