I definitely would not recommend this place because of the extremely poor customer service. We stayed 2 weeks in Portugal in July. We are always careful to be polite and reserved when traveling which we do a lot. We were never treated that way. You have to wait outside because only four people are accepted (Covid19 safety measures) and that is perfectly reasonable. But when it was finally out turn, a lady yelled at us to stand at the door. Then they forced one of our children to put a mask. He is 6 years old! We ordered various ice cream flavours and others things. As soon as kids were served, the lady threw our children out ! My girl of 2 years old was left alone and scared in the street until I paid.
The level of arrogance, rudeness and discourtesy was shocking. The voice tone used during all this experience was unnecessary.
We are still mad to have spent money in this place to have been treated that way. Ice-creams are -though delicious...
Read moreWe first stopped just for a coffee as they have speciality coffee there. Also they make a flat white, which is the first time I have seen one after biking through Portugal for 3 weeks. The coffee taste wasn’t as strong as it should have been for a double shot. We then had an ice cream. They were again ok but nothing that special. They only take cash too. When you have spent 15€ in 2 coffees and 2 ice creams, one might expect to be able to pay by card like in other higher priced ice...

I don't particularly like "cash only" in the 21st century so much but nevertheless we had to manage the situation. I offered to bring the money immediately but received a sceptical look. Next, I offered to leave my brand new pair of AirPods as a deposit. That was declined also. Instead, they asked for leaving one of my children behind as a deposit. I told them I regarded this as far too little a security for a bill worth 17 Euros, and would better leave them all three children. That was accepted. I went home, collected my cash, paid our debt and promised that we'll...
