Went for 4 days with my daughter, first impressions wasn’t great, looked very basic, the reception area looked basic, and not as knew compared to the photos. The hallway to the rooms were very basic like we were in a 2 star hotel. The room itself had everything you needed but again the decor very basic, the floor and painting of the walls looked cheap. The hairdryer on the wall in the bathroom wasn’t strong enough to dry ur hair. Definitely shouldn’t be a 4 star hotel as I have stayed in a lot better 3 star hotels, Ive never stayed in a 3 star hotel worse than this. Not many staff could speak English, struggled to order at the bar as no one could speak English. The food was awful, not much choice and not very nice. Do not include breakfast or dinner in the booking as cheaper and nicer to eat out. Breakfast was streaked smoky bacon, fried egg, scrambled egg, boiled egg, cereal, fruit, yogurt or meat. It definitely needed a different choice than just serving different kind of eggs, definitely needed to serve beans or plum tomatoes. We just had chips for tea but they did also have chicken casserole. The games room is in the same room as the indoor pool and also in the centre of everything so it felt everyone was looking at you, me and my daughter didn’t feel comfortable using the swimming pool with men drinking playing pool, and other people sitting in the same room drinking alcohol, it was too open. The swimming pool was not heated, when I asked reception if it was going to be heated as it says online she replied it’s never heated. We did try to get in but it was that cold we had to get out. They had two pool tables but only one working. No entertainment, no outdoor pool, nothing for the kids to do. Nothing to do in the local area, Other family’s we met said the same thing. There was places to eat and could walk 5 mins to the beach which was massive and lovely but the beach was the only attraction. I asked if there was anything to do but they said no just the beach, they said they don’t have tour busses or anything in monte gordo all there is to do is eat sleep go on the beach. Not many people speak English in the local area. Overall I wouldn’t recommend the hotel or...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel for four nights. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the beds were hard, but I actually liked that. I slept well. The bar on the ground floor was nice and clean, and it was a good place to get a drink and relax. The pool is inside, so you can use it even when the weather is not so good.
The only thing I did not like was the food, both in the evening and morning. In the evening, there were only five choices: plain rice, plain pasta, meat, fish, and fries. It didn’t feel like a real meal. We told the staff about this, but they couldn't speak English. Talked to the manager and he said the chef was off on the first day, so the food quality was lower than usual. But even on the next days, the food was still not good. Fries were cold, they were out of meat and the fish was undercooked.
Honestly, they don’t know how to cook. Also, don’t go too late. Dinner is supposed to be available until 9:30 p.m., but at 9:00 they already said some sidedishes were finished, even though the manager upstairs said they still had them. The kitchen is really the weak part of this hotel, which is a shame because the rest of the hotel is actually quite good.
I think it’s better to eat outside the hotel. There are many restaurants nearby where you can get a very good meal for...
Read moreI have stayed in hotel Navegadores for seven days and rated the hotel two star for a reason. Its food was mostly all the same and there is not much food for vegetarians .In one of the days I stayed in the hotel the power went out for the whole hotel for a few hours because there was no emergency generators, so it means the people in the lifts were stuck for hours as well as the people who left their room where stuck outside thier rooms because the doors are powered by electricity and cards (this is a huge health and safety issue).the parking is very bad .The pool was closed for three days but no one came to fix the problem and it was opened after three days , in addition the pool has no lifeguards .A few small isuues are that there was seveal leaks from the ceiling and one of the leaks wasn’t blocked off ..Another thing is that the spa and steam room are opened for limited time then costs money. The good things about the hotel is the space in the main room and its not that far from the Faro Airport (FAO) as well as the decoration is good. The hotel has free wifi (so no problem for people who love the internet )and its...
