Stayed here whilst visiting Monte Gordo. The room we were given was very spacious and had all the facilities you'd need for a self catered holiday (fridge, stove, microwave and plenty of cutlery, plates, mugs and glasses). The location was amazing being only a couple of minutes from the beach and restaurants. If you're unfortunate enough to be greeted by the short haired man at reception, do not expect good service. When we checked in he provided us with no information about the hotel facilities and the key card holder had the incorrect WiFi password, meaning we had to go back down to get the correct password and information about the pool opening times. He also told us he couldn't give us more toilet roll when we had run out one evening, which is something I've never had before in any hotel, they're normally happy to provide anything you ask for! The room was nice and spacious, and contrary to other reviews I've read, the air conditioning worked amazingly. The bed was nice and comfy with good pillows, which I find rare in hotels. The most obvious downside is the paper thin walls and windows. We had someone in the room next to us who genuinely sounded like he was dying from coughing most days and it was quite unpleasant to hear. The rooftop pool is very well presented and is perfect on a sunny day. However, it's quite evident they don't clean it. My partner had removed some dead bugs on our first day and they were still on the poolside on our last day, gross. Overall, I did enjoy our stay in Atlantida and I think with a few improvements (WiFi, staff, pool cleaning) I would bump it up to 4 or even 5 stars. We got a great price through lastminute.com and if you can too I'd definitely recommend it if you're staying in Monte Gordo.

Nice studio apartment and great location. A one minute walk to the beach. Plenty of restaurants around although many closed as we visited at the end of October. Requested twin beds before we arrived but they didn't seem to have seen the request but turned our bed into a twin on the second day. Plenty of room for 2 in the studio apartment. Has a double electric hob, microwave, kettle and fridge. Not many dishes, cups or glasses but I always take my own mug on holiday. Nice to have the rooftop pool and there is also a small gym on the top floor. Very quiet at this time of year but so is the whole town.

Was prima. ||Second Life: De ene avond is hier live muziek, de andere avond karaoke.

One bedroom unit for 2 weeks -- adequate, beds were comfortable although very low. Great location 1 block from the beach, although there was no view due to another building. ||||Dishes and cutlery for 4, a couple of pots, frying pan (but no spatula). Take your own salt/pepper, dish detergent, dish cloth, scrubber. ||||Toiletries provided, although I found the shampoo did not lather well. ||||Unlike other apart-hotels I have tried, there was daily housekeeping. Breakfast included scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon, breads, cereal, etc.||||I had written twice to ask whether the pool would be open and if dish detergent, etc. were provided, but there was no response.||||Weather was wonderful -- sunny every day, usually hot enough for sun bathing (some people went into the ocean), but a few windy or cool days. ||||Monte Gordo is a small town. There are lots of restaurants and tourist shops, a surprising good InterMarche supermarket, and a wonderful boardwalk between the dunes and the beach. Some excursions have local pick-ups, but others would...
