Hotel Agapi — Hotel in Constanta Metropolitan Area

The hotel is clean, the service is excellent, yet it is still a three star hotel. The breakfast is quite poor, though included in the price. There is an offering of 4 set breakfasts, such as cereal, sausages, eggs, and cheese. However, there is only one type of cereal (chocolate flakes) and one type of cheese (the Romanian salty cheese). The sausages are also just hot dogs. So overall, if you want a healthy breakfast, you need to buy food from outside. There is a nice selection of food for lunch and dinner, however, so the restaurant is not totally poor. The area is quite depressed, though there are some stores nearby. There is also a mall about half an hour’s walk away with a supermarket. Also, a thing to keep in mind is that it is a two story hotel with no elevator, so the accessibility is poor. Overall, I wouldn’t come to Mamaia again, because other resorts, such as those in Greece and Croatia are better and not as depressed, but it is not because of the hotel. We stayed at this property in late May 2016 and we had a blast. We were looking for a quiet and relaxing time and we sure got that. While the hotel is located right on the main street in Mamaia and, it can be busy and noisy especially in the season, if you get a room facing the sea you should be able to get some peace and quiet. ||||The hotel is pretty small, so don't expect spa and gym. Honestly they are not required, as the only reason you would choose this property is to enjoy the beach and the sea that is right beside the hotel. This is one of the very few properties that is right on the beach.||||The room was modern, very clean and everything worked perfectly. The hotel is pretty new, but you can tell the owners pay a lot of attention in keeping it top shape. ||||Very worthwhile was the restaurant located on the ground floor. We have selected this hotel at the recommendation of some friends. The staff at reception is very friendly and accommodating. We had 2 rooms one with the view to the beach and the other one towards the street. The beach view room is amazing ( I have never had a room this close to the beach). Highly recommend it. The other room is good but would not provide the advantage of the location. The hotel is new and everything is modern and functional. Spacious room with fridge and Tv. Bathroom was great with modern shower. We ate at the hotel and the food selection and quality was decent.
