My wife and I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Poiana and stay at Edelweiss. It is very conveniently located in "the grove" of Poiana. Right out of the front door is Bradul and all the ski shops you could need. All the restaurants you could want are walking distance. The hotel itself is exceptionally clean and well maintained. The bar and restaurant are very comfortable and the service is top notch. Reception was accommodating and helped us get reservations at the most famous places in town as well as organizing transportation for us as needed. There is also an equipment room in the lower level where guests can store their ski and snowboard gear for easy access. The rooms are all very nicely decorated and maintained. We don’t recommend the twin room: the beds were United, but there a big hole between them, it’s not possible for 2 persons to sleep in such beds. That’s the last problem. The major problem are the mattresses which were as old as my grand grand parents, in a deplorable state, way too used, impossible to rest in such beds. Read moreThe hotel is very nice, close to the ski slope, with parking and ski deposit room. Checking in and out is pretty fast, rooms are clean and break-fast on tye medium side. The restaurant doesn't offer a large choice, but the food is tasty and serving pretty fast. There is a pretty goos free wifi service, large TV's in room, good selection of programs. On the bad side, the fan in the bathroom is pretty noisy, the shower has intermitent hot water and not all the lights worked. On the good side, you have acces to a sauna with a small jacuzzi which have to be...
