Polosaty hostel — Hotel in округ Смольнинское

I love Polosaty hostel! There is wonderful kindly atmosphere. It becomes because of the admirable people who work there. They all are very friendly and positive. They always ask, “How was your day”. They will enjoy talking with you, if they have some free time. They will advise you many interesting places in St.Petersburg, if you ask. Any time of day or night they are ready to help you. And guests become infected with this atmosphere. Therefore, it is a common sight in Polosaty to see people in the kitchen or living room, who talk and laugh like old friends, despite the fact, that they have come from different countries and just met in the hostel. Thanks to Dima, Lada, Angelina, Karen, Diana, Aleksey and Ira for the great time. In addition: of course, there is everything that important for excellent hostel: comfortable beds, fresh linens, well-equipped kitchen, living-room with sofas, books and radio-gramophone, interesting and unique design, cleanliness is everywhere...

An easily missed entrance to the hostel and a step that had me tripped over with my backpacks on me. :/ ||Staff were friendly and I was quickly orientated round the place - had to climb 6 flights of steps to get to the hostel (I think it's 6..). ||Checked into a 8 bed mixed dorm but the space above each bed was enough for a grown man to sit up on the bed without banging his head on the bottom of the upper bunk. Same goes for the upper bunk. ||Room was airy and the location of the hostel was near to the heart of St Petersburg. Walking distance was less than 10 mins! :) ||The kitchen was a little on the small side but was cosy enough and had space for cooking.||Unfortunately I've to cut short my stay.. I have been in many hostels hotels Airbnb Homestays and whatnot all over the world and this place is on my top 3 without a shadow of a doubt.|The building is old, built in 1700's but they managed to decorate and paint it so tastefully! It really is impressive. Beds are comfy, rooms spacious, toilets, showers,kitchen...everything is sooo clean!|The girls running it are the loveliest things you'll ever meet. A big thank you to Lada (in the picture) Sasha Anastasia and Sonia. They were ever so helpful and always with the best smiles they could offer us. The towels are free, even they wash your clothes for free! You dont see that very often. Everything was impecable. I never wanna leave this place...
