I booked a room advertised as part of the Intercontinental brand on a booking website, only to later discover it was falsely listed under this reputable name. Despite my reservations, I decided to proceed with the stay—a decision I deeply regret due to the following issues: |||| - The room was far too small to accommodate a third bed comfortably, resulting in a cramped and impractical sleeping arrangement. The "extra bed" provided was tiny and unsuitable for an adult. |||| - The bathroom design featured a partially transparent wall, offering zero privacy for non-couple guests. When I raised this concern, the receptionist informed me that all rooms follow the same layout, making the hotel an inappropriate choice for friends, family, or business travelers. |||| - Despite the already limited space, the hotel had left a chair in the room, obstructing movement and making the space feel more like a furniture storage area than a functional hotel room. While staff eventually offered to remove it (after my complaint), this did not resolve the fundamental issues with the room's size and design. |||| - When I requested a reasonable solution, no alternatives were available unless I paid three times the original rate. This response demonstrates a clear disregard for guest satisfaction, especially given the misleading branding and substandard conditions. ||||The hotel should adjust its pricing to reflect its true standards—not mislead guests into expecting a premium...
Read moreThe receptionists have no respect for the guests and are not tactful. We had a misunderstanding about smoking in the room. We did not know that it was forbidden. The day before, a person came to the room and he smell incense in the corridor. He informed us that it was forbidden and said, “I want to inspect the room.” We accepted that and he watched. Incense in the bathroom and he told us that it was forbidden, and after that we did not light the incense and did not smoke in the room. Yes, we accepted that, because we were smoking in the room. We were wrong and we accepted that, but the employee was talking about the law and that this is the law of Russia in a brutal way. I want to know how a person talks about the law with nervousness. The law is the correct path and you must follow it in a correct manner, but the receptionists did not follow this method and said that we must pay $250. We informed them that we would be traveling in a few hours and they did not reach an understanding with us until we put an amount in dirhams in order to enter the room according to In my opinion, no matter how classy the hotel is and how good and clean the room is, the bad behavior of one of the employees...
Read moreHotel is located in one of my favorite areas of the city center. There is 24 hrs fitness and sauna open till 22:00, but they were cool to let me stay there even a bit later. There is a small but well stocked and decently priced Magnolia grocery store on the opposite side of Tverskaya. Another nice room feature not always present at five star hotels was an electric kettle with varieties of teas/coffee, as well as a fridge, without annoying “mini bar” offers. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and the room has the ability to be properly darkened. Toiletries in the bathroom were of high quality I typically don’t like glass doors in the bathrooms such as was found in my room and I don’t change my opinion after staying here. Water was expectedly spilling onto the main floor from the shower and I actually banged my toe to blood on the floor bracket that holds the glass door, on the way to the toilet. Just an annoyance, doesn’t affect my overall impression with the...
