The Nest — Hotel in Kimihurura

I've recently stayed 3 nights at the Nest. It is a gem with a beautiful garden, friendly service and plenty of outdoor seating available to chill within the property.||||Room: all 3 rooms I stayed in were spacious and clean. Terrace rooms were quiet but the room close to the gate was noisy with staff/guests talking in the late/early hours. One shower didn't drain well and one shower curtain was moldy. When I made the hotel aware of these minor issues, they told me they'd address them immediately.||||Staff: reception staff and breakfast room staff were helpful, friendly and accommodating. ||||Great location: there are a few cafes, restaurants just around the corner from the hotel (5 minutes walk). Airport was 20 minutes by taxi and Kigali Height (shopping mall with many ATMs, restaurants etc) was nearby (5 minutes by taxi). There are plenty of moto (motorcycle taxi) outside the hotel.||||Nice breakfast: fresh juice and made to order menu as well as buffet items were delicious. ||||Swimming pool: access to the nearby affiliated hotel swimming pool was fantastic. It was a decent sized clean pool. There is a bar/restaurant but no sun lounger to chill.||||Complementary 1 hour massage was great. ||The Nest also had food delivery service from a nearby Asian restaurant. I didn't try it but the menu placed in the room looked extensive. ||||Overall, great stay and I'd stay at the Nest again. I felt safe at the Nest and in Kigali in general. Knocked off one star due to few minor issues mentioned above but I hope they would've addressed...

The hotel was beautiful, located in a quiet area away from noise that feels very safe. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. I had a few issues with the room on my second night but they changed me to another room and accommodated my requests, after that everything went perfect! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, shower is good and hot water is nice. The buffet breakfast has plenty of options and they prepare dishes to order, from pancakes to omelette and fresh juices, really delicious! Wifi works well. Located only about 10 min walk from the convention centre. Communication with staff through booking was prompt and easy.

One of the friendliest places I've stayed anywhere. The staff were exceptionally lovely, the breakfast was generous, the beds were comfy and generous room size. I also made use of the free 1 hour massage and came away feeling great.||The only critique was that while they offer a free laundry service, it takes three days and I still came away with wet clothes that I needed to dry at my next hotel. But as a free service in an emergency during the rainy season you have to temper your expectations - but this service could have been better. ||But I would definitely stay there again! and thank the staff for definitely going above and beyond,...
