This is a Rated 4 Star from 2017. And as we know , due to the Covid-19 Pandemic the world has changed drastically. For some this change seem to have not occurred. ||I am reviewed Lemigo Hotel based on current information and comparing it to similar hotels on Four Star. Based on that I will review it this way.||While Kigali as a city is receiving rousing reviews about its progress, only the red neon lights are the shining star for this hotel. ||Staff are very friendly. And helpful as well. Only issue is the English language. Which I will not hold them to, after all English is no longer a dominant language. Be clear with your ask and they get it. Eventually. ||Breakfast was way too heavy. Fried chicken, fried beef and plantain on the menu. No bacon rashes. Very limited choice for Continental breakfast. Pastries had chocolate in them. ||Lunch was good 👍🏿 ||The exciting part of their meals was the response from the chef. I found him really helpful in flexing to make curry source to go with the dry curry chicken. And they also brought out fresh and crisp salad. The Chef even followed up and came to the table to check if we were OK. 👍🏿 Five Star for Dinner Service. ||My young family enjoys swimming. And there is a family friendly swimming pool. Only issue, we were not allowed to swim as there were two weddings . So all other guests could not use the pool! ||Would I use this hotel again? With...
Read moreI had my clothing item stolen from my room. Customer service is lacking, you call reception and they always say they will call you back but don't. Staff don't seem to know their own policies. Lift wasn't working most of the time.
Update to Lemigo response: Your "investigation" won't help me at this point when I have left the country. The incident was handled poorly when I reported it there so I have no confidence in your investigation. When I initially reported the matter to the front desk, I was told I physically to get police approval before I can see footage. I asked the front desk why they didn't inform me of this when I initially requested footage he said he wasn't aware yet he's been working there for a number of years. When I went back to the manager the next day, all of a sudden I was shown the footage however it was not complete. One wonders if these weren't delay tatics. This casts doubt on the legitimacy of the so called "footage" I was shown.
Furthermore, your staff didn't call me back when I had enquiries, which forced me to physically go to reception to follow up (mind you the lifts were not working). This defeats the purpose of having a phone in the rooms.
The experience left a bitter taste in my mouth as a first time visitor to your hotel, such that I will not...
Read moreHaving survived 75 hours of travel with multiple delays to other cities and a previous unplanned overnight in Entebbe Uganda, Even the unplanned second overnight inkugali was made much more tolerable by the Hotel Lemigo. When 50 or more travelers arrived from the airport frustrated by yet another last minute cancellation with no explanation from Rwandair, they were ready for us, collected our passports and filled out our registration forms for us, quickly assigned us rooms and immediately ushered us into a dining room on a patio in a warm breeze with an excellent meal. The rooms were enormous, modern, up to date, clean, with balcony overlooking the hills of Kigali. Bath amenities were plentiful and of high quality. When you had another unexpected change arose, they informed us and indicated they would call us at 3:00 in the morning which they did on time. The breakfast was excellent and we were soon off to the airport once again.... Never mind that we had spent 10 hours at the same airport yesterday. My hat is off to the hotel and their staff because they did an amazing job definitely...
