I recently had the pleasure of attending the ABH23 Conference in Kigali, and my overall experience was nothing short of exceptional.

Firstly, my stay at Coalesce hotel in Gacuriro was delightful. The accommodation was not only comfortable but also impeccably clean, offering a perfect blend of modern amenities and a touch of Rwandan hospitality. The location provided a serene atmosphere, allowing me to unwind after each conference day, and also central to the city.

Navigating the city was made incredibly convenient with Yego, the local ride-hailing service. The ease of getting a cab, coupled with the reasonable fares, made exploring Kigali stress-free. The drivers were not only courteous but also knowledgeable about the city, ensuring a smooth commute every time. Average fair ride was around 7000RWF - 10,000 per trip ,

One of the highlight of my trip was undoubtedly the Kigali Convention Centre. Magnificent doesn't even begin to describe its grandeur. The architectural marvel stands as a testament to Rwanda's commitment to hosting world-class events. The conference facilities were not only state-of-the-art but also spotlessly clean. The attention to detail in design was awe-inspiring.

What stood out for me was the cleanliness and ease of locating the restrooms within the Convention Centre. The facilities were maintained impeccably, reflecting a commitment to hygiene that is often overlooked. The staff's professionalism and warmth added to the overall positive experience.

From the panoramic views of the city to the modern infrastructure, the Convention Centre left an indelible mark on me. In particular, the cleanliness and accessibility of the restrooms showcased a level of attention to detail that is commendable.

Architecture & Design The dome takes inspiration from the traditional Rwandan king’s palace. It looks impressive by day and glows beautifully at night. The full complex includes the Radisson Blu Hotel, the Convention Centre, and Kigali Heights, each serving a unique purpose but connected seamlessly.

Inside & Facilities Spacious, modern, and clean. The main hall fits 2,500+ and comes with world-class AV tech. Breakout rooms are soundproof and well-equipped. Signage is clear, and staff are helpful. Everything from lighting to restrooms is well maintained.

Events & Experience Great for global events, fashion shows, and business functions. Acoustics, crowd control, and seating are well-planned. Outdoor spaces offer city views and quiet breaks between sessions.

Location & Access Just 15 minutes from the airport. Parking is secure. The attached Radisson Blu and nearby Kigali Heights offer food, shopping, and rest options.

Final Thoughts More than a venue, it’s a cultural and architectural experience. Whether attending an event or just visiting, it’s worth seeing.
