For the sake of Allah I will try my best in being as fair as I can with this review. To any young person looking to stay in this hotel I advise you not to as the aesthetic is more for the elderly. It is a great distance from the prophets masjid being just a road cross away, the museum is also a road cross away with many shops such as for fragrance, snacks clothes and gifts being close by.
Unfortunately my experience at this property was short lived and the interactions I had with staff was worse than could be explained. I genuinely have no words for the treatment at this property considering these people have the biggest reminder of good character in front of them being the prophets masjid.
Upon arrival, staff appeared to be friendly and kind offering me an upgrade which didn’t look like an upgrade at all but rather 4 single beds squashed in a room on a smoking floor which smelt.
When I had finally seen my room, I was not happy or comfortable staying there as it did not resemble the photo shown on booking.com. My little sister was worried as she could hear scratching almost as if there was a mouse in the room, there was hair on our beds and more. I asked to cancel my booking, being pleased that they would still take a nights worth of money as it was a last minute cancellation and I was told I had to stay the night then cancel the next day. We managed it and done as we were told.
Next day, the cancel button was no longer on bookings and I had to request to change my dates from six nights to one. This request was not accepted or declined on bookings. I went through the process of returning my key card, giving booking information and card details for my refund (this took 2 hours+ as there was constant waiting in between)
I was finally told I could leave as my refund had been processed, naturally being from the uk and a certain way of living, I asked for proof of my refund and was asked to come back after dhur because the manager was in a meeting… I did this and was then asked to come back after maghrib… then told to come back the next day because the manager was on holiday??? Allah knows best who was lying in this situation and I leave this case with Allah.
I came back the next day and was completely ignored by staff. new customers would come to the desk and they would be attended to, this continued to happen until I asked to speak with the manager, I was directed to an individual who was in fact the supervisor. The receptionist I was waiting to speak to now magically had my time and was quick to explain to the supervisor in Arabic what the issue was. I took the opportunity to tell her to fear Allah as she knew I was waiting for her and she completely ignored me. (She felt the best thing to do in this situation was to constantly smile and laugh in my face) I told her we will meet again on the day of judgment and that Allah is watching her, you would expect such a comment to trigger a better character but she continued to giggle and smile about the situation.
The supervisor apologised for the circumstances and reassured me he would give me my refund in cash… how is this possible if the refund had already been processed to my card. He proceeded to ask for my booking number and proof that I had requested to change my dates. He suggested I leave to pray and I said I would wait. They then declined my request from booking.com to change my reservation dates making it look as if I had stayed in the property for two nights instead of 1 so that they would not have to give me back my full refund, making it seem as if it is bookings responsibility to accept requests made to the hotel rather than them. Allah is my witness to all I have said, alhamdulillah I got 1,640 back after paying over 2,400. The rest will be recompensed by Allah in this life or the next. All praise is to Allah who is just and does not...

Read moreBe Warned and Do Not Stay In This Hotel!!!||1 - Men come into the room without notice, no knocking, I was so sick that I couldn't move and my husband was out and they kept coming in, I asked what they wanted and all they said was just 'checking' this happened all hours of the day, they weren't coming into the room for anything specific so I was on guard the whole time I was in the hotel. 2 days before our checkout someone entered the room again when my husband wasn't there to ask if we were checking out. |2 - Not once in the whole stay did they clean the room, it was absolutely filthy and disgusting, never been hoovered, food crumbs all over the floor, sheets never changed, towels never changed, nothing replaced including towels, tea, water, toilet paper. No wander everyone in our group got sick as soon as we stayed one night, I doubt they changed the sheets in our rooms when we arrived, so we were sleeping in the same sheets as the last guests. There was a constant smell of cigarette smoke in my room, which was suffocating.|3 - Breakfast, old reused food, nothing fresh to eat no fruit, pastries were stale, we ended up just having tea and getting our own food from outside. The one day there was a chef making omelette he was complaining about it.|4 - If you are white you will get treated right. I witnessed a member of our group being spoken to and looked after by the manager who also insisted her write a good review on Trip Advisor, anyone else you are treated like dirt on the floor. I asked to speak to the hotel manager several times, but was told there 'wasn't one'.|5 - Double bedroom so tiny you can barely walk let alone open your suitcase or pray etc. when we tried to move room the Arabs at the reception told us speak to the agent, who kept telling us the next day they would look, and 3 days past and they still hadn't done anything, they said there were no rooms despite the fact they moved several of our group to new rooms and people were checking out every day. They kept giving us the same line that our room was a 'VIP Room' like we're fools! I got so frustrated and in the end had to tell them to stop lying to me and if they don't do anything we are checking out. He then showed us several rooms which were exactly the same as our current one, until finally he showed us a room with a few inches more space and then said we had to pay extra for an extra bed and the view, NOTE: people in families of 4 in our group were getting 2 rooms with 6 & 8 beds with no extra charge so asking extra was totally out of order, in the whole process they were so rude and arrogant. The Arabs at reception are useless, manager nowhere to be seen (unless your white and privileged) and the agents don't give a damn unless you really kick up a fuss for days on end and tell them they are lying to there face!|6 - The workers don't speak a word of English so you cant communicate with them, they just sit around in the corridors, someone asked for new sheets in the room and all they did was turn them over.||This hotel shouldn't even be a 1 star, it is a hazard to your health as soon as you walk in, please be warned and do not stay here at any cost. Anyone writing a five star review for this joke off a filthy place must of been paid or bribed...
